Galvanic Deposition of Calcium Phosphate/Bioglass Composite Coating on AISI 316L

Calcium phosphate/Bioglass composite coatings on AISI 316L were investigated with regard to their potential role as a beneficial coating for orthopedic implants. These coatings were realized by the galvanic co-deposition of calcium phosphate compounds and Bioglass particles. A different amount of Bioglass 45S5 was used to study its effect on the performance of the composite coatings. The morphology and chemical composition of the coatings were investigated before and after their aging in simulated body fluid. The coatings uniformly covered the AISI 316L substrate and consisted of a brushite and hydroxyapatite mixture. Both phases were detected using X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy.…

Effect of E. coli biofilm formation and removal on passive films on AISI 316L during fermentation processes

Abstract 316L coupons were sanitized in hot water vapour inducing iron enrichment in passive films. Coupons were then immersed in a pilot fed-batch fermenter in presence of E. coli. Sanitization causes iron enrichment in passive films. Fermentation causes the growth of biofilm on the SS, constituted by bacteria embedded in an extracellular polymeric substance. During fermentation SS open circuit potential is very negative due to low oxygen concentration on its surface, while the chelating action of siderophores induces chromium enrichment in the passive film. Disinfection in NaClO for 30 min allows removal of biofilm and formation of a protective passive film.

Per donar resposta ens hem plantejat de quina manera la persistència de les desigualtats està relacionada amb la desigual distribució territorial del context socioeconòmic, dels recursos, de l’escolarització o dels resultats educatius. Las tertulias televisivas poseen gran relevancia en el nuevo ciclo político abierto en España en 2014. Con vistas a analizar el grado de pluralismo político y el rol del moderador que se despliega en ellas, se ha tomado una muestra de 50 programas (25 de “Al Rojo Vivo” y 25 de “Las Mañanas de Cuatro”). La perspectiva es cualitativa respecto al alcance del marco permitido y cuantitativa en cuanto al tratamiento que reciben los partidos políticos. Las variables registradas están relacionadas con quién, cuánto y cómo interviene en el programa.
