The Impact Of Demand And Inventory Management Policies On Bullwhip Effect In Production Networks

The bullwhip effect is a phenomenon consisting in variance amplification of orders as they move up a supply chain. The immediate bullwhip effect consequences are the increase of inventory costs, poor custoiner services and inefficient utilization of resources due to the difficulties of production planning activities in highly variable conditions. There are many factors that cause the bullwhip effect, but if is particularly due to demand forecasting and inventory management policies. In this paper the impact on bullwhip effect of different policies to manage demand and inventories has been evaluated through discrete event simulation, using the ARENA (R) simulation package.

Il contributo analizza il reato di intermediazione illecita e sfruttamento lavorativo, offrendo un’analisi comparata con il sistema repressivo tedesco. Il testimone, risalente alla fine del XV secolo, costituisce un volgarizzamento siciliano (incompleto) del Liber marescalciae equorum di Lorenzo Rusio. Il manoscritto harleiano è interessante non soltanto perché rappresenta un inedito del trattato di Rusio, ma anche perché consente di delineare l'influsso esercitato da questo autore sulla cultura ippiatrica in Sicilia. As a logical and direct consequence of the closure of schools and sports facilities, an expected reduction in the practice of physical activity (PA) and sports has been detected in both children and adolescents all over the world. Hence, we analysed the short-term and long-term consequences of the lack/low level of PA and sports activity in this population, which we referred to as primary and secondary risks, respectively, the latter of which have to be considered in hypothetical future scenarios.
