European undergraduate curriculum in geriatric medicine developed using an international modified Delphi technique.

Introduction: the rise in the number of older, frail adults necessitates that future doctors are adequately trained in the skills of geriatric medicine. Few countries have dedicated curricula in geriatric medicine at the undergraduate level. The aim of this project was to develop a consensus among geriatricians on a curriculum with the minimal requirements that a medical student should achieve by the end of medical school. Epigrafía funeraria nazarí: el epitafio de al-Yanaštī (835/1436)

Este artículo analiza la epigrafía funeraria nazarí y establece la estructura de los epitafios andalusíes conservados datables entre los siglos XIII y XV. Se estudia también una pieza arqueológica cuyo exacto origen se desconoce, aunque se puede deducir que apareció en la región de Granada. La piedra se usó en el siglo XV para grabar el epitafio de un hombre musulmán cuyo texto se conserva completo en siete líneas de escritura árabe cursiva en relieve. Formó parte de la colección del Duque de Santa Lucía y hoy integra el lapidario árabe del Museo Arqueológico Nacional (Nº. Inv. 1962/34/15).

Con las primeras elecciones municipales democráticas en España después del franquismo, los nuevos ayuntamientos establecieron programas para reconstruir las ciudades españolas. Un aspecto de estos proyectos fue la creación de espacios públicos donde la gente pudiera encontrarse en un ambiente agradable. Estas áreas se cerraron al tránsito y se amueblaron con árboles, bancos y un nuevo tipo de esculturas artísticas. El jardín es el elemento que ha adquirido una mayor difusión en los modelos urbanos extensivos en la costa de Alicante (España). En este territorio, a diferencia de otros ámbitos, los jardines unifamiliares se asocian a las urbanizaciones que se han ido configurando desde 1960 a raíz de la expansión del denominado turismo residencial. Los objetivos de esta investigación son identificar las principales características de los jardines unifamiliares y, a partir de ellas, estimar sus necesidades hídricas y determinar el volumen de agua doméstico consumido por el jardín en el hogar. The article tries to highlight, despite the scarse of available documentation, the Greek and Latin studies (language and texts) in the ancient Apulian University in Altamura (1748-1821). Furthermore, on the basis of unpublished archival materials (school registers and student workbooks) it is possible to shed light on the ancient authors explained at school, the teaching methods, and the study practices.

Inuentiones and translationes of the relics are part of the hagiographic dossier of a saint and provide interesting information about his cult over the centuries. For S. Mercurius of Caesarea the original texts in Greek have been lost, but we have two collections miracles in Coptic that narrate the inuentio and translatio of his relics and there is also a medieval tradition about his translatio to Benevento (Italy). From all these texts is deduced a healing cult of S. Mercurius based on the usual topics.

SCOPO: Presentare i risultati preliminari di un’analisi di segmentazione morfovolumetrica (VBM) eseguita in pazienti con aMCI ed AD rispetto ad una popolazione di controllo (NAB). Tali dati saranno in futuro correlati ad altri parametri clinico-psicologici raccolti (età, sesso, scolarità, MMSE, ADL, IADL). MATERIALI E METODI: Sono stati sottoposti ad esame RM encefalo 103 soggetti, utilizzando uno scanner RM GE Signa HDxt da 1,5T ed acquisendo, tra le altre, una sequenza Sag 3D T1 FSPGR IR preped ASSET che è stata utilizzata per l’analisi VBM eseguita con il tool sienax (FSL).
