The 3Rs concept, calling for replacement, reduction and refinement of animal experimentation, is receiving increasing attention around the world, and has found its way to legislation, in particular in the European Union. Tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin yksilöpsykoterapiassa käytäviä yhteistyösuhdekatkosten prosessointikeskusteluja asiakkaan ongelmallisen kokemuksen rakentumisen näkökulmasta. Tutkimuksen ensimmäisessä vaiheessa tutkittiin yhteistyösuhteessa tapahtuvia muutoksia katkosten ja ratkaisuyritysten näkökulmasta. Toinen osa oli tutkia ongelmallisen kokemuksen rakentumista eli tarkastella asiakkaan sisäisiä dialogeja yhteistyösuhteen prosessointikeskusteluissa. Tavoitteena oli tutkia onko katkoksilla, niiden ratkaisemisella ja ongelmallisella kokemuksella yhteyttä toisiinsa.
