Masteroppgave i Nordisk språk og litteratur 2007 - Høgskolen i Agder, Kristiansand Studieobjektet mitt har vært feministen Grethe Nestors debutroman Kryp. Jeg satte meg fore å undersøke romanens kjønnsideologi og mannsfigurasjoner, med en velbegrunna mistanke om at sistnevnte baserer seg på myter og stereotypier om det mannlige. Avhandlingens argument er at Nestor er ute i et ideologisk ærend, og at det viser seg i romanens estetiske uttrykk så vel som i konkret tematikk og motivvalg. Det subversive og potensielt kvinneemansipatoriske ligger vel så mye i (postfeministiske) lån fra maskulint koda uttrykksformer - pornografi og en litterær tradisjon forbundet med mannlig kjønnsfundamentalisme…

Masteroppgave i nordisk språk og litteratur- Universitetetet i Agder 2013 Masteroppgaven er en sammenlignende studie av hvordan det nasjonale presenteres for barn (10-12 år gamle) i utvalgte lesebøker fra de to landene: Norge og Aserbajdsjan. I denne masteroppgaven prøver jeg å svare på spørsmålet: hva er det disse tekstene presenterer som det nasjonale? Materiale for oppgaven er 7 lesebøker fra begge land. To av dem utgjør leseboken for femte trinn i Norge som er skrevet av Thorbjørn Egner (de 7. og 8. bindene av 16 bind). Det vil si at jeg har valgt tre lesebøker fra begge land. Analysis of relations between attitude towards mathematics, prior knowledge, self-efficacy, expected and actual grades in mathematics

The purpose of this study is to analyse relations between students’ attitude towards mathematics, prior knowledge, self-efficacy, expected grades, and performance in mathematics among 115 firstyear engineering students. We combine two statistical techniques to analyse the data we generated by questionnaires and two tests. First, item-level modeling, in terms of confirmatory factor analysis, which we use to compute the factor scores of construct-validated measures, and to control for measurement errors. Second, composite modeling, in terms of path analysis, which we use to test the research hypotheses. The findings show that both self-efficacy and expected grades have substantial effects on …

The resource decisions and documents of undergraduate engineering students in mathematics courses

This thesis concerns a multiple case study, carried out at three Norwegian universities. The goal was to find similarities and differences between how engineering students from different university contexts used resources to learn mathematics, and how they made decisions regarding their use of resources. My project had an inductive focus, networking thematic analysis (Braun & Clarke, 2006) with the theoretical framework of the documentational approach to didactics (Gueudet & Trouche, 2009).
