We initiate a study of punctured tubular neighborhoods and homotopy theory at infinity in motivic settings. We use the six functors formalism to give an intrinsic definition of the stable motivic homotopy type at infinity of an algebraic variety. Our main computational tools include cdh-descent for normal crossing divisors, Euler classes, Gysin maps, and homotopy purity. Under-adic realization, the motive at infinity recovers a formula for vanishing cycles due to Rapoport-Zink; similar results hold for Steenbrink's limiting Hodge structures and Wildeshaus' boundary motives. Artykuł poświęcony jest relacjom między władzą lokalną a obywatelem w pierwszym powojennym dziesięcioleciu w gminie Kościeliska, pow. oleski. Na początku autor charakteryzuje gminę, następnie podaje przykłady tych relacji na tle ówczesnej sytuacji politycznej, społecznej i gospodarczej. Ledrappier-Young formula and exact dimensionality of self-affine measures

In this paper, we solve the long standing open problem on exact dimensionality of self-affine measures on the plane. We show that every self-affine measure on the plane is exact dimensional regardless of the choice of the defining iterated function system. In higher dimensions, under certain assumptions, we prove that self-affine and quasi self-affine measures are exact dimensional. In both cases, the measures satisfy the Ledrappier-Young formula. peerReviewed
On several notions of complexity of polynomial progressions

For a polynomial progression $$(x,\; x+P_1(y),\; \ldots,\; x+P_{t}(y)),$$ we define four notions of complexity: Host-Kra complexity, Weyl complexity, true complexity and algebraic complexity. The first two describe the smallest characteristic factor of the progression, the third one refers to the smallest-degree Gowers norm controlling the progression, and the fourth one concerns algebraic relations between terms of the progressions. We conjecture that these four notions are equivalent, which would give a purely algebraic criterion for determining the smallest Host-Kra factor or the smallest Gowers norm controlling a given progression. One common feature among the selected players in talent development programs are the well-known relative age effect (RAE), characterized by a skewed birth distribution among selected players with an over-representation of players born early in the selection year. The aim of the present study was to examine potential differences in soccer-specific skills between players selected for national talent program born in the first half of the year compared to the players born in the second half of the year. PURPOSE: The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between different types of sport expertise (externally-paced vs. self-paced sports) and vigilance performance in children by evaluating the cardiovascular fitness level of the participants. METHODS: Three groups of children (11.0 ± 0.2 years) differentiated in terms of their regular sport participation (football players, n = 20; track and field athletes, n = 20; non-athletic controls, n = 20) took part in the study.
