Investigation of the Temperature Sensitivity of 20-Years Old Field-Aged Photovoltaic Panels Affected by Potential Induced Degradation

One effect of moisture ingress on solar panels is potential induced degradation (PID). Solar panels affected by PID experience large leakage currents between the solar cells and the module’s frame, which leads to substantial power degradation. In the present work, the temperature coefficients of 3 old PV panels affected by PID were investigated. In the electroluminescence images, solar cells nearer to the edge of the modules appear darker due to ohmic shunting. IR thermal images acquired under clear sky outdoor conditions show that the majority of the warmer cells (hotspots) were located closer to the edge of the modules. Assessment of Observational Evidence for Direct Convective Hydration of the Lower Stratosphere

In situ and remote sensing observations of water vapor are analyzed to assess the evidence for direct convective hydration of the lower stratosphere. We have examined several hundred balloon-borne and airborne in situ measurements of lower stratospheric humidity in the tropics and northern midlatitudes. We find that the tropical lower stratospheric H2O enhancements above the background occur quite infrequently, and the height of the enhancements is within about 1 km of the cold-point tropopause. The premature fusion of cranial bones, craniosynostosis, affects the correct development of the skull producing morphological malformations in newborns. To assess the susceptibility of each craniofacial articulation to close prematurely, we used a network model of the skull to quantify the link reliability (an index based on stochastic block modeling and Bayesian inference) of each articulation. [Impact of job satisfaction on nursing turnover: a mixed method study].

OBIETTIVO: Descrivere la soddisfazione lavorativa (job satisfaction) ed esplorare le motivazioni della richiesta di turnover da parte degli infermieri clinici. METODO: Studio mixed-method condotto presso un’Azienda Ospedaliera di Roma Hub di II livello, su un campionamento di convenienza al personale infermieristico in servizio nelle seguenti tre aree cliniche: medica, chirurgica e d’urgenza/emergenza. RISULTATI: Il campione di 133 infermieri risulta avere una buona job satisfaction (60,9%). Il 21% si ritiene insoddisfatto e il 18% è incerto sul grado di soddisfazione. The use of primary hepatocytes is now well established for both studies of drug metabolism and enzyme induction. Cryopreservation of primary hepatocytes decreases the need for fresh liver tissue. This is especially important for research with human hepatocytes because availability of human liver tissue is limited. In this review, we summarize our research on optimization and validation of cryopreservation techniques.
