Purpose: To report the use of parallel grafts to extend the proximal landing zone for stentgraft repair of aortic transection involving an aberrant right subclavian artery (ARSA). Case Report: A 28-year-old patient was referred for treatment of traumatic aortic transection with contained rupture at the level of an ARSA. Immediate thoracic endovascular aortic repair (TEVAR) was planned because of hemodynamic instability. Background: Serum neurofilament light chain (sNfL) and distinct intra-retinal layers are both promising biomarkers of neuro-axonal injury in multiple sclerosis (MS). We aimed to unravel the association of both markers in early MS, having identified that neurofilament has a distinct immunohistochemical expression pattern among intra-retinal layers. Anthracene Fluorescence Quenching by a Tetrakis (Ketocarboxamide) Cavitand

Quenching of both fluorescence lifetime and fluorescence intensity of anthracene was investigated in the presence of a newly derived tetrakis (ketocarboxamide) cavitand at various concentrations. Time-correlated single photon counting method was applied for the lifetime measurements. A clear correlation between the fluorescence lifetime of anthracene as a function of cavitand concentration in dimethylformamide solution was observed. The bimolecular collisional quenching constant was derived from the decrease of lifetime. OBJECTIVES: Isolated ascending aortic aneurysm (iAA) is usually treated by open graft repair requiring sternotomy, cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) and cardioplegia. This approach carries significant mortality in older patients or those presenting with comorbidities. We report an original series of patients presenting with iAA and treated with epiaortic wrapping by using a synthetic mesh. We prove an asymptotically sharp dimension upper-bound for the boundary of bounded simply-connected planar Sobolev $W^{1,p}$-extension domains via the weak mean porosity of the boundary. The sharpness of our estimate is shown by examples.

Normal forms of hyperbolic logarithmic transseries

We find the normal forms of hyperbolic logarithmic transseries with respect to parabolic logarithmic normalizing changes of variables. We provide a necessary and sufficient condition on such transseries for the normal form to be linear. The normalizing transformations are obtained via fixed point theorems, and are given algorithmically, as limits of Picard sequences in appropriate topologies.
