Effect of inoculation with selected Bradyrhizobium spp. on the survival and growth of Acacia mangium saplings after 20 months in the field

This work was designed to test the long-term effect of the inoculation of #Acacia mangium# seedlings with 10 selected strains of #Bradyrhizobium spp.#. The percentage of survival of seedlings inoculated with any of the #Bradyrhizobium# strains was increased by 10% as compared to the control plants. However, out of the 10 #Bradyrhizobium# strains tested, only 3 strains, Aust l3c, Lu 4 and Tel 8, belonging to the phylogenelic group 1, significandy enhanced the growth of #A. mangium# after 20 months in the field. Corkwing wrasse, Symphodus melops, is one of the main species used as cleaner fish to combat sea lice infestation in salmon aquaculture; however, there is little knowledge about its biology. Here, we describe the embryonic development of this species and examine the viability of the eggs under three temperature regimes. The experiments were conducted at three water temperature regimes, 12, 15, and 18°C, which resemble common sea water temperatures registered during the spawning season of corkwing wrasse at different latitudes along the Norwegian coast. Objectives This study aimed at investigating the relationship between perceived public stigma towards people with schizophrenia (PWS) and their family members in a large sample of medical and psychology students. We hypothesised that: a) schizophrenia labelling would be related to greater perceived public stigma; b) contact with PWS would be related with lower perceived stigma; c) perceived public stigma would be similar between medical and psychology students and would be higher among students attending the clinical stage compared to their pre-clinical colleagues.
