Fixed Bed Adsorption of Drugs on Silica Aerogel from Supercritical Carbon Dioxide Solutions

Supercritical adsorption coupled with the high adsorption capacity of silica aerogel allows the preparation of a new kind of delivery systems of poor water soluble drugs. In order to overcome drawbacks of conventional techniques where the use of liquid solvents can cause the fracture of aerogel porous structure, in this work a new adsorption process of drugs from a supercritical mixture is proposed. Adsorption takes place from a fluid solution of the drug in supercritical CO2and ethanol as cosolvent. Numerical Modeling Approaches of FRCMs/SRG Confined Masonry Columns

The Fabric Reinforced Cementitious Matrices (FRCMs) and Steel Reinforced Grout (SRG) are a promising strengthening solution for existing masonry since inorganic matrix is considerably compatible with historical substrates. The present paper is focused on a Finite Element (FE) analysis of masonry columns confined with FRCM composites developed by Abaqus-code. The masonry columns were modelled using a macro model approach. The model was performed by using the following functions Concrete Damage Plasticity (CDP) and the Plastic (P) in order to describe the constitutive laws of material for masonry columns and external reinforcement, respectively. espanolEl articulo analiza desde una perspectiva critica las tentativas de interpretar a Nietzsche como un precursor del transhumanismo. Tras una breve contextualizacion del fecundo debate en torno a Nietzsche y el transhumanismo, se evalua el caracter fraccional o parcial del alegato de Stefan Sorgner en favor de un “transhumanismo nietzscheano”. Despues, se investiga la tension entre humanidad, la superacion del ser humano y su cria en los escritos de Nietzsche. Una vez ejecutado este analisis, y sin animo de caer en el anacronismo, se sostiene que Nietzsche anticipa ciertamente un germen de la idea de post-humanidad, en su critica de la cultura humanista y en su invitacion a transformar …
