Design of a TFT-LCD based digital automobile instrument
2014
Published version of an article in the journal: Mathematical Problems in Engineering. Also available from the publisher at: http://dx.doi.org/10.1155/2014/549790 The traditional mechanical instrument lacks the ability to satisfy the market with characters of favorable compatibility, easy upgrading, and fashion. Thus the design of a TFT-LCD (thin film transistor-liquid crystal display) based automobile instrument is carried out. With a 7-inch TFT-LCD and the 32-bit microcontroller MB91F599, the instrument could process various information generated by other electronic control units (ECUs) of a vehicle and display valuable driving parameters on the 7-inch TFT-LCD. The function of aided parkin…
Edge Detector Design Based on LS-SVR
2014
Published version of an article in the journal: Mathematical Problems in Engineering. Also available from the publisher at: http://dx.doi.org/10.1155/2014/419792 For locating inaccurate problem of the discrete localization criterion proposed by Demigny, a new criterion expression of "good localization" is proposed. Firstly, a discrete expression of good detection and good localization criterion of two dimension edge detection operator is employed, and then an experiment to measure optimal parameters of two dimension Canny's edge detection operator is introduced after. Moreover, a detailed performance comparison and analysis of two dimension optimal filter obtained via utilizing tensor produ…
New strategy for analog circuit performance evaluation under disturbance and fault value
2014
Published version of an article in the journal: Mathematical Problems in Engineering. Also available from the publisher at: http://dx.doi.org/10.1155/2014/728201 Focus on this issue of disturbance and fault value is inevitable in data collection about analog circuit. A novel strategy is developed for analog circuit online performance evaluation based on fuzzy learning and double weighted support vector machine (DWMK-FSVM). First, the double weighted support vector regression machine is employed to be the indirect evaluation means, relied on the college analog electronic technology experiment to evaluate analog circuit. Second, the superiority of fuzzy learning also is addressed to realize a…
Robust sampled-data H∞ control for vibration mitigation of offshore platforms with missing measurements
2014
Published version of an article in the journal: Mathematical Problems in Engineering. Also available from the publisher at: http://dx.doi.org/10.1155/2014/914616 This paper presents a robust sampled-data H ∞ control for vibration attenuation of offshore platforms with missing measurements subject to external wave force. It is well known that the phenomena of missing measurements are unavoidable due to various reasons, such as sensor aging and sensor temporal failure, which may degrade the control system performance or even cause instability. For active vibration control of offshore platforms with sampling measurements, to deal with the missing measurements, a robust sampled-data H ∞ control…

Published version of an article in the journal: Mathematical Problems in Engineering. Also available from the publisher at: http://10.1155/2014/690589 In order to improve the market value of the product, the platform enterprise often participates in the development process of supporting product of emerging industry's platform innovation ecosystem. This paper puts forward a revenue sharing contract between the platform company and the supporting company by creating a collaborative development model of the supporting product in the ecosystem, and this paper studies the platform enterprise investment resource property's (complementary or substitution) impact on the supporting enterprise R&D ef…
Model reduction of fuzzy logic systems
2014
Published version of an article in the journal: Mathematical Problems in Engineering. Also available from the publisher at: http://dx.doi.org/10.1155/2014/874530 This paper deals with the problem of l 2 - l ∞ model reduction for continuous-time nonlinear uncertain systems. The approach of the construction of a reduced-order model is presented for high-order nonlinear uncertain systems described by the T-S fuzzy systems, which not only approximates the original high-order system well with an l 2 - l ∞ error performance level γ but also translates it into a linear lower-dimensional system. Then, the model approximation is converted into a convex optimization problem by using a linearization p…
Observer-Based Robust Control for Hydraulic Velocity Control System
2013
Published version of an article in the journal: Mathematical Problems in Engineering. Also available from the publisher at: http://dx.doi.org/10.1155/2013/689132 Open access This paper investigates the problems of robust stabilization and robust control for the secondary component speed control system with parameters uncertainty and load disturbance. The aim is to enhance the control performance of hydraulic system based on Common Pressure Rail (CPR). Firstly, a mathematical model is presented to describe the hydraulic control system. Then a novel observer is proposed, and an observed-based control strategy is designed such that the closed-loop system is asymptotically stable and satisfies …
Energy measurements at Skarpnes zero energy homes in Southern Norway: Do the loads match up with the on-site energy production?
2017
Five houses are designed as zero-energy homes in Skarpnes, Norway. The energy goal is to achieve net zero-energy balance on an annual basis. The houses have heat pumps and solar cells (PV). Energy use and delivered energy have been monitored from June 2015. Variations between calculations and measurements are explained by technical and non-technical reasons. For the first year, higher than expected energy loads result in a solar energy cover factor of 65–87% of delivered electricity. The PV generation performs satisfactorily, hence, it may be possible to achieve energy goals during later years provided technical adjustments or behavioral changes. Acknowledgements. This report has been writt…
Tracking Mobile Robot in Indoor Wireless Sensor Networks
2014
Published version of an article in the journal: Mathematical Problems in Engineering. Also available from the publisher at: http://10.1155/2014/837050 This work addresses the problem of tracking mobile robots in indoor wireless sensor networks (WSNs). Our approach is based on a localization scheme with RSSI (received signal strength indication) which is used widely in WSN. The developed tracking system is designed for continuous estimation of the robot's trajectory. A WSN, which is composed of many very simple and cheap wireless sensor nodes, is deployed at a specific region of interest. The wireless sensor nodes collect RSSI information sent by mobile robots. A range-based data fusion sche…
Design of Wideband MIMO Car-to-Car Channel Models Based on the Geometrical Street Scattering Model
2012
Published version of an article in the journal: Modelling and Simulation in Engineering. Also available from the publisher at: http://dx.doi.org/10.1155/2012/264213 Open access We propose a wideband multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) car-to-car (C2C) channel model based on the geometrical street scattering model. Starting from the geometrical model, a MIMO reference channel model is derived under the assumption of single-bounce scattering in line-of-sight (LOS) and non-LOS (NLOS) propagation environments. The proposed channel model assumes an infinite number of scatterers, which are uniformly distributed in two rectangular areas located on both sides of the street. Analytical solutions a…
