This study aimed to cross culturally adapt the Protocol for the Exploration of Natural Metalinguistic Skills in Aphasia (MetAphAs), contributing to the future application in the aphasic Chilean population.The sample corresponds to 72 healthy subjects in the region of Valparaíso, between the ages of 50 to 85. The MetAphAs measures natural metalinguistic skills and presents the basic elements on which to base the exploration of the metacognitive dimensions involved in verbal behavior. The thermal responsive behavior of adsorbed layers of diblock copolymers of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAAM) and poly((3-acrylamidopropyl)trimethylammonium chloride) (PAMPTMA(+)) with γ-cyclodextrin (γ-CD) at the solid/liquid interface has been investigated using three in situ techniques: null ellipsometry, quartz–crystal microbalance with dissipation monitoring, and neutron reflectometry. Steered Response Power Localization of Acoustic Passband Signals

The vast majority of localization approaches using phase transform (PHAT) consider that the sources of interest are wideband low-pass sources. While this may be the usual case for common audio signals such as speech, PHAT methods are affected negatively by modulation artifacts when the sources to be localized are passband signals. In these cases, steered response power PHAT localization becomes less robust. This letter analyzes the form of generalized cross-correlation functions with PHAT when passband acoustic signals are considered, proposing approaches for increasing the localization performance through the mitigation of these negative effects.
