In the 1980s, a group of South Asian scholars pioneered Subaltern Studies drawing on one of Gramsci’s most famous and used categories: the subaltern. This chapter attempts a philological analysis of Gramsci’s work to show how the use of this term has been at times incorrect, in part because of the lack, until recently, of complete translations of Gramsci’s writings. Subaltern Studies’ interpretation has arguably oriented Gramsci’s notion of the subaltern to the ethical and political needs of an emancipatory project. Abstract This paper employs an assemblage theoretical approach to analyse how Norwegian land-based wind power policies are constructed over time and what forces dominate and resist wind power policy development. The entanglement of policies, technology deployment and (lack of) social acceptance emphasizes the need to critically question what and who influence the construction of energy transition policies and how and what concerns are left out, especially in relation to the tenets of energy justice. Squatting is usually subject to institutionalisation, co-optation and repression. Legalisation of the squats is also a controversial issue among activists. This chapter provides an overview of these topics in Central-Northern European cities (Berlin, Copenhagen and Paris) and Southern European cities (Madrid, Barcelona and Rome). The authors explore how local authorities respond to squatting in different protest cycles and the consequences of those responses. Predicting a localized defect on a rolling bearing during the degradation process before a complete failure is crucial to prevent system failures, unscheduled downtimes and substantial loss of productivity. During this process, impulses associated with the fault are weak, nonstationary or time-frequency varying, and contaminated by noises, which render the problem of extracting these impulses very difficult. AbstractIn the management of e-waste, mobility of e-scrappers plays a pivotal role, especially in e-waste acquisition and sales of extracted materials. This research examines the relationship between e-scrappers and the locations of their work by analysing the influence of environmental and social factors on their mobility behaviour in Nigeria. This article examines the main determinants for entrepreneurial activities among return migrants in a regional context within Romania. The analytical framework is based on conceptual tools provided by the intersection of entrepreneurship theory and return migration research. The study aimed to answer a set of research questions regarding migrant individuals’ probability for entrepreneurial careers upon return, and Romania constitutes a fertile European origin country for testing them.
