Artikkelissamme käsittelemme poliitikkoihin kohdistuvaa vihapuhetta sukupuolittuneena ilmiönä, johon liittyvät monenlaiset tunteet ja affektit. Vihapuhe vaikuttaa kohteisiinsa monin tavoin ja saa aikaan erilaisia tunteita ja tuntemuksia. Määrittelemme vihapuheen tietyn ryhmän todelliseen tai oletettuun ominaisuuteen kohdistuvaksi uhkaavaksi, halveksivaksi tai syrjiväksi puheeksi, joka vaikuttaa kohteisiinsa fyysisen väkivallan tavoin. Syntyvyyden väheneminen on kiivaasti keskusteltu aihe. Vähenemisen syitä on etsitty esimerkiksi työelämän epävarmuudesta, työn ja lastenhoidon yhteensovittamisen hankaluuksista ja lapsiperhe-elämän vähäisestä houkuttelevuudesta pidentyneen nuoruuden kulttuurissa. This study aims to understand why older people choose private care in a comprehensive tax-subsidized social care system and examines whether people choose private service as a free choice or a forced choice as well as what factors contribute toward making these choices. In this paper, we have used the exceptional circumstances created by the COVID-19 pandemic as a window for investigating the ambivalent, stereotypical and often-incongruent portrayals of exceptional vulnerability and resilient self-management that define the self-constructions available for older adults. Tensions and resilience: the experiences of adult foster-care workers in Finland

This article examines adult foster care for older people in Finland. This is a semi-formal service in which older people are cared for by foster carers who are remunerated for their work by the local municipality. In the article, the tensions and resources of resilience of foster-care work are analysed. The data consist of 12 thematic interviews with foster carers. The results suggest that foster-care work is emotionally draining and has adverse effects on social relationships. However, foster carers see caring as purposeful, they see themselves as professionals and they have enough social resources.

This article analyses how specific nodal points of performative control developed and consequently structured the discourse on Aotearoa New Zealand’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. It identifies these points by adopting a rhetorical-performative approach to uncover three particular performances of control that articulated the pandemic in Aotearoa New Zealand, from the diagnosis of the first COVID-19 case in the country in February 2020 through to October 2020. Sosiaali- ja terveyspalvelujen parissa kokeillaan yhä useammin uudenlaisia kokemusasiantuntijakäytäntöjä, jotka asettavat asiantuntijaorganisaatioita uuteen tilanteeseen. Tutkimuksessa selvitettiin kuuden kehittämiskumppanuuskokeiluun osallistuneen kokemusasiantuntijan päiväkirjojen avulla kokemusasiantuntijoiden sairaalaorganisaatioon astumisen ensivaiheita ja organisaatioon sisään pääsemistä. Tulosten mukaan kokemusasiantuntijatoiminnan aloittamiseen sairaalassa liittyy sosiaalisesti ja kulttuurisesti muodostuvia tunteita. Artikkelissa tarkastelemme sukupuolistunutta väkivaltaa aineenopettajaopiskelijoiden koulukokemusten näkökulmasta. Merkittävä määrä nuorista altistuu väkivallan ja häirinnän eri muodoille. Kouluterveyskyselyjen mukaan erityisesti tyttöihin ja sukupuolivähemmistöihin kohdistuva väkivalta ja seksuaalinen häirintä ovat viime vuosien aikana lisääntyneet huolestuttavasti. Koulun ja opettajien rooli ilmiöön puuttumisessa on tärkeä, samoin opettajankoulutuksen, jonka aikana opiskelijoiden olisi tärkeä tulla tietoiseksi väkivallan ilmenemismuodoista ja niihin puuttumisen mahdollisuuksista.
