Role of the N-*(1535) in the J/psi -> pp and J/psi -> p(+)Lambda reactions

We study the J/psi -> p eta p and J/psi -> pK(+)Lambda reactions with a unitary chiral approach. We find that the unitary chiral approach, which generates the N-*(1535) dynamically, can describe the data reasonably well, particularly the ratio of the integrated cross sections. This study provides further support for the unitary chiral description of the N-*(1535). We also discuss some subtle differences between the coupling constants determined from the unitary chiral approach and those determined from phenomenological studies
Topological canal foliations

Regular canal surfaces of $\mathbb{R}^3$ or $\mathbb{S}^3$ admit foliations by circles: the characteristic circles of the envelope. In order to build a foliation of $\mathbb{S}^3$ with leaves being canal surfaces, one has to relax the condition “canal” a little (“weak canal condition”) in order to accept isolated umbilics. Here, we define a topological condition which generalizes this “weak canal” condition imposed on leaves, and classify the foliations of compact orientable 3-manifolds we can obtain this way.

El presente estudio pretende resolver la controversia en torno a la identidad y procedencia del poeta Filóxeno, célebre ditirambógrafo del siglo V-IV a.C. Para ello, hemos recopilado todos los testimonios que citan a personajes con el nombre de Filóxeno desde la primera mención de Aristófanes. La investigación ha revelado que existen varios individuos con el mismo nombre y rasgos comunes. No obstante, el examen de estos testimonios revela la existencia de un único autor de ditirambos: Filóxeno de Citera. This article analyses the dynamics and performance of regional economic integration in the Southern African Development Community (SADC). It proposes an innovative theoretical approach to the analysis of regionalism that refers to cooperation theory and takes the impact of external actors explicitly into account. The motivation for this research stems from the observation of a new wave of regionalism in the Global South. Envelopes for sets and functions II: generalized polarity and conjugacy

International audience; Let X,Y be two nonempty sets, Φ an extended real-valued bivariate coupling function on X × Y and Γ a subset of X × Y. The present paper provides extensions to the well-known generalized Φ-conjugacy and Γ-polarity of diverse results of our previous work [2] related to φ-conjucacy and Λ-polarity, where Λ is a subset of a vector space E and φ is a function on E defining the particular coupling function (x,y)→φ(x−y) on E × E. A particular attention is devoted to the conjugacy functions (resp. polarity sets) which are mutually generating. Finally, for a superadditive conjugacy function Φ, we obtain a full description of the class of Φ-envelopes.
