Potential for Usage of Thermoelectric Generators on Ships

Published version of an article from the journal: Journal of Electronic Materials. he original publication is available at Springerlink. http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/s11664-010-1189-1 The useful waste heat potential for a bulk carrier has been evaluated as a preliminary step towards developing a thermoelectric generator (TEG) waste heat recovery system for ships. A medium-sized bulk carrier produces 6.2 MW of waste heat, and the most promising usable sources for the TEG are shown herein to be the exhausts from the main engine and the sludge oil incinerator.

Master's thesis in Renewable energy (ENE500) The objective of this master thesis is to analyse and compare the performance of two different PV technologies mounted at different tilt angles and orientations. The PV modules are installed on the roof of the J5 building in the University of Agder, located in Grimstad, Norway. The analysis was carried out by comparing 13 months of measured data (from March 2020 to March 2021).The technologies assessed are mono crystalline silicon and poly crystalline silicon, mounted at atilt angle of 10◦East/West, 45◦South and 90◦South.

The fish farm, called Rataren, is located in Sør-Trøndelag and hourly data on power consumption is available in the period 1st February 2016 until 31st August 2016, as a result of change in energy source from diesel generators to the onshore power grid.
