This research aimed to analyze variations in chemical properties, microbiological characteristics and generated volatile organic compounds (VOCs) profile during sourdough fermentation. Sourdoughs were collected from different cities in Turkey at two different times and lactic acid bacteria (LAB) in the samples were identified with culture-independent and culture-dependent molecular methods. According to culture-dependent methodology, thirteen LAB species were identified. Lactobacillus spp. were identified as the major group according to MiSeq Illumina analysis. Abstract Background Oxygen transport in the hemolymph of many arthropod species is facilitated by large copper-proteins referred to as hemocyanins. Arthropod hemocyanins are hexamers or oligomers of hexamers, which are characterized by a high O2 transport capacity and a high cooperativity, thereby enhancing O2 supply. Hemocyanin subunit sequences had been available from horseshoe crabs (Xiphosura) and various spiders (Araneae), but not from any other chelicerate taxon. Desde la erradicación del paludismo en España, los estudios acerca de los mosquitos culícidos (Diptera: Culicidae) han disminuido drásticamente en nuestro país. Con el objetivo de actualizar los datos faunísticos de la familia en la Comunidad Valenciana, se llevaron a cabo intensivos muestreos larvarios en los años comprendidos entre 2005 y 2008. Durante estos cuatro años se consiguió recolectar 11.279 ejemplares pertenecientes a 29 especies de Culicidae, repartidos en 548 puntos de captura diferentes. El estudio de la salinidad de los biotopos larvarios indica que únicamente Ochlerotatus caspius (Pallas, 1771) y Ochlerotatus detritus (Haliday, 1833) pueden calificarse como especies eurihal…
