Abstract Background Recent work has revealed that many biological systems keep functioning in the face of mutations and therefore can be considered genetically robust. However, several issues related to robustness remain poorly understood, such as its implications for evolvability (the ability to produce adaptive evolutionary innovations). Results Here, we use the Avida digital evolution platform to explore the effects of genetic robustness on evolvability. En 1520 y 1521 las ciudades castellanas fueron escenario de enconados conflictos políticos que dieron lugar a la introducción de radicales cambios en el régimen de gobierno local. Como consecuencia por primera vez dichas ciudades ofrecieron evidentes paralelismos con las de otros ámbitos de Europa, en particular las alemanas, en las que durante los siglos XIv y Xv y en la primera mitad del XvI proliferaron las revueltas y disputas por el poder político urbano, que con frecuencia conllevaron la introducción de cambios constitucionales de calado. Oppgaven har vært å beskrive og forklare adopsjon og bruk av dette møtestøttesystemet i to byggeprosjekter, Guldmand Brygge 2 og Moss Glassverk i henholdsvis Skanska og Selvaagbygg. I tillegg har vi fungert som fasiliatorer og assistert brukerne ved behov. Northwest Europe’s largest heather-dominated sandy habitats are located in the nature reserve Lu¨neburgerHeide, Germany. Yet, even these appear to be losing their ability to support some of their stenotopic species such as theladybird spider, Eresus kollari Rossi 1846, and are thus becoming increasingly important for the preservation of thesespecies. The habitat requirements of this endangered spider species were investigated in order to obtain data that will helpstabilize the last remnants of the species’ population in northwest Germany. Information exchange executed by extracellular vesicles, including exosomes, is a newly described form of intercellular communication important in the development and physiology of neural systems. These vesicles can be released from cells, are packed with information including signaling proteins and both coding and regulatory RNAs, and can be taken up by target cells, thereby facilitating the transfer of multilevel information. Recent studies demonstrate their critical role in physiological processes, including nerve regeneration, synaptic function, and behavior.
