Magia ja taide keskiajalta ja uuden ajan alkuun : oppinut magia ja eurooppalainen kuvamaailma 1100–1600 magian tutkimusperinteen muutosten valossa

1900-luvun aikana eurooppalaisen taiteen ja magian tutkimus rajoittui pitkälti Warburginstituutin piirissä tapahtuneeseen 1400-1500-lukujen taiteen astrologiseen analyysiin. Viimeksi kuluneiden 25 vuoden aikana magian tutkimusperinne on kokenut merkittävän murroksen. Etenkin keskiajan oppineen magian muodoista on saatu paljon uutta tietoa. Tutkimusperinteessä tapahtuneiden muutosten ohella tämä artikkeli esittelee keskiaikaisessa magiassa käytettyjä kuvatyyppejä ja kuvamagian yhtymäkohtia keskiajan ja uuden ajan alun kuvataiteeseen. peerReviewed
