3D modelling tools from photographic pictures have experienced significant improvements in the last years. One of the most outstanding changes is the spread of the photogrammetric systems based on algorithms referred to as Structure from Motion (SfM) in contrast with the traditional stereoscopic pairs. A junior homonym was detected in the genera of fossil Araneae and the following replacement name is proposed within the family Trochanteriidae: Neoveterator Ceccolini & Cianferoni nom. nov. pro Veterator Petrunkevitch, 1963 nec Laws, 1944. Eight new combinations (comb. nov.) are proposed.

Se ha analizado el sentido de enrollamiento de siete especies de foraminíferos bentónicos procedentes del marjal de Torreblanca localizado al norte de la Comunidad Valenciana, Este de España. Si bien en ninguna especie se ha observado un marcado predominio en el sentido de enrollamiento, dos de ellas muestran una preferencia leve pero estadísticamente significativa: Ammonia beccarii tepida es predominantemente dextrógira y Metarotaliella simplex? preferentemente levógira. Trochammina inflata, Jadammina macrescens y Rubratella sp. no muestran preferencia alguna en el sentido de enrollamiento. A biometric comparison is carried out on selected tests of the foraminiferal species Rosalina douvillei (Cushman, 1928) and Trichohyalus aguayoi (Bermudez, 1935). The Rosalina douvillei specimens were recovered from the marginal marine Oligocene/Miocene site of Russingen (Mainz Basin, Germany), the lacustrine beds of the lower Miocene site of Bunol (Valencian Community, Spain) and the middle/ upper Miocene site of Fuendetodos (Aragon, Spain). A new Lagomorph from the late Miocene of Chad (central Africa)

A new species of the genus Serengetilagus, here named S. tchadensis n. sp., is described from Toros Menalla deposits, Late Miocene of Djurab Erg (North Chad, central Africa). It shows primitive features, such as a simple archaeolagine-type p3, with only two main external folds, and upper cheek teeth strongly widened with wear. Its size and skeletal features resemble S. praecapensis from the Middle Pliocene of Laetoli (Tanzania). They differ in several cranial and dental features (choanae width, zygoma, orbits, basicranial-basifacial angle, lack of hypoflexus in P2, short and asymmetric hypoflexus in P3-M2, lack of lingual folds in p3, etc). The Hoyo Oscuro section (Andara Massif, southeastern part of Picos de Europa) is a comparatively small exposure of Pennsylvanian syntectonic deposits that shown angular unconformity on the fairly extensive pre-tectonic carbonate platform strata of Pennsylvanian age accumulated in the distalmost realms of the Variscan foreland basin of the Cantabrian Zone. Fusuline-bearing strata from this section yielded species belonging to the genera P seudostaffella, Ozawainella, Fusulinella, Protriticites, Pseudotriticites, Fusulina and Quasifusulinoides ; one of these forms, Protriticites schulzei Villa, is described as a new species from the Cantabrian Mountains.
