This research aims to analyze recruitment by quintas, Spanish word for recruitment levies by lot, in the city of Valencia and the townships included in its jurisdictional area. The analyzed period began in 1717 with the first levie decreted by king Philip V once the War of Spanish Succession was over. Applied this levie in the kingdom of Valencia, this was the first application of levies by lot. The closing year for the reported period up to 1762, whith the last levy made by king Charles III before the establishment of the annual periodicity for the recruitment process. En primer lugar, realizo una valoración de la contribución de la regla de reconocimiento a la identidad y a la legitimidad de los sistemas jurídicos. La tesis se centra en el estudio del enfoque de la capacidad en el economista Amartya K. Sen y su vinculación con la justicia en el ámbito global. En primer lugar nos centramos en el concepto de justicia global frente al de justicia internacional y transnacional. A continuación nos proponemos analizar el potencial de la capacidad (capability) como clave para una justicia de alcance global. A partir de la crítica de otros autores como Pogge, Nussbaum, Ricoeur, Cortina, Conill y Crocker valoramos el alcance y límites del enfoque de Sen para la justicia global. Abstract. The Weddell Sea and the associated Filchner–Rønne Ice Shelf constitute key regions for global bottom-water production today. However, little is known about bottom-water production under different climate and ice-sheet conditions. Therefore, we studied core PS1795, which consists primarily of fine-grained siliciclastic varves that were deposited on contourite ridges in the southeastern Weddell Sea during the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM). On the relationship between knowledge creation and economic performance

An empirical two-equation dynamic panel-data model system with fixed effects is proposed to analyze the relationship between knowledge creation and economic performance across regions over time. Estimates of the model for Spanish regions show that (i) knowledge creation depends on local R&D effort, on the amount of knowledge in use, and on knowledge creation in neighboring regions; and (ii) assimilation of new knowledge depends on local knowledge creation and on assimilation of knowledge in neighboring regions. Hvordan kan samtidsteater bli arena, laboratorium og katalysator for «uenighetsfellesskaper» (Iversen, 2014)? I denne artikkelen drøfter jeg teatersituasjonens potensial for uenighetsfellesskap og ser uenighet i forestillinger i relasjon til uenighet om forestillinger før jeg analyserer to eksempler på «uenighetsdramaturgier». I de kontekstsensible analysene undersøker jeg hvordan publikumets interne uenighet kommer til uttrykk, og hvordan det dramaturgisk legges til rette for denne uenigheten.
