Biodeterioration of the Wooden Roof of the Phnom Penh National Museum

Within the framework of a training program in Cambodia, during a visit to the National Museum in Phnom Penh, the most important in the Kingdom of Cambodia, the authors noted the presence of some signs of a termite attack in the secondary elements of the roof of an inner garden. Following this observation, a further investigation was performed in order to evaluate the phytosanitary condition of the wooden bearing element of the roof. The inspection highlighted the presence of severe decay, constituting a real danger for the integrity of the roof; consequently, an intervention of restoration, conservation and safeguard was considered to be necessary and urgent. Tutkimuksessa selvitettiin, miten tiimin jäsenet ovat kokeneet tiimien ja tiimityön muutokset sekä työelämän muutosten heijastumisen tiimityöhön. Tutkimus kohdistui eri aloilla työskenteleviin suomalaisiin, jotka ovat työskennelleet alallaan vähintään kymmenen vuotta. Laadullinen tutkimus toteutettiin avoimin haastatteluin, joihin osallistui yhteensä yksitoista miestä ja naista. Pro Bono Publico? Demand for Military Spending Between the World Wars

This article analyzes the demand for military spending in the 1920s and 1930s, based on variables arising from the international system and the selected countries. The main premise is that the military spending was an impure public good, implying that both public and private benefits drove the demand for this type of expenditure. Threats arising from the autocratic states in the 1930s increased these expenditures, and democracies overall tended to spend less. Moreover, the absence of clear international leadership by the USA or UK destabilized the international system and increased military spending, with alliances failing to produce a public good effect. Yrittäjyystutkimuksessa biologinen perimä, yrittäjäksi syntyminen, on siirtynyt taustalle. Painopistettä on suunnattu kasvatukselliseen pohdintaan. Se on tuottanut tutkimusta pääasiassa yrittäjyyden tieteenalalla. Pääpaino on ollut toisaalta aikuisväestön, jo ammatissa toimivien tai työttömien kouluttamisessa yrittäjiksi, toisaalta yrittäjyyden kytkemisessä ammatillisen ja korkean asteen koulutukseen. Yrittäjyyden pedagogisten perusteiden pohdinta on sen sijaan vasta lähtemässä liikkeelle.

Abstract This paper presents a methodology that consists of a Z-score function applied on a set of indicators for the luxury industry and then standardized to obtain a ranking of the companies on a scale between 10 and 100. To measure the performance for the top 5 LVMH, Estee Lauder, Richemont, Kering, Essilor Luxottica, and bottom 5 Aeffe, Tribhovandas, Van de Velde, Mulberry, Trinity companies (based on Deloitte global ranking in 2019) in the luxury industry and to unveil which are the performance drivers. Šajā darbā tiek veikta zvaigznes HD179821 augstas izšķirtspējas spektra analīze, kurš iegūts Terskolas observatorijā viļņu garuma diapazonā no 3100 līdz 6400Å. Darbā tika veikta spektra redukcija, līniju identificēšana, noteikta radiālā ātruma vērtība Vr=123,7±1,6 (km/s), izmērīti līniju ekvivalentie platumi un, izmantojot atmosfēru modeļu metodi, tika precizēti atmosfēras parametri – Teff = 6750±250 K, log(g) = 0-0,5±0,5 (cgs), ξ=6,5±1 km/s, iegūta dzelzs koncentrācija [Fe] = -0,17±0,11 dex un itrija [Y] = 0,35±0,29 dex koncentrācija attiecībā pret Saules vērtību. Iegūtie rezultāti salīdzināti ar citu autoru iegūtajiem datiem, lai precizētu evolūcijas stadiju, kādā atrodas pētāmā zvaigzne.…
