ABSTRACTThe possibility to modify gut bacterial flora has become an important goal, and various approaches are used to achieve desirable communities. However, the genetic engineering of existing microbes in the gut, which are already compatible with the rest of the community and host immune system, has not received much attention. Here, we discuss and experimentally evaluate the possibility to use modified and mobilizable CRISPR-Cas9-endocing plasmid as a tool to induce changes in bacterial communities. In A Woman in the Polar Night (Eine Frau erlebt die Polarnacht, 1938), Christiane Ritter, a well-to-do Austrian housewife, describes her experience as the first central European woman to overwinter on Svalbard (1934–35). Ritter’s prose is extraordinary in its lyrical simplicity, and in German editions the text is interspersed with her paintings of the scenes that at first were so alien and changing, yet became so familiar and loved.

The main objective of this work was to study the motivational antecedents of the intention to drop out of youth sport from the postulates of the achievement goal theory (AGT), placing special emphasis on the motivational climate that coaches create in their teams. Specifically, we analyzed whether changes in the perception of the motivational climate between the beginning and the end of the season predicted changes in players’ goal orientations, whether these, in turn, predicted changes in self-esteem and contingent self-esteem, and finally, whether the latter predicted the intention to drop out. The text explains the difference between Marx?s concept of «oppression» and others as «coercion» by Durkheim or «domination» by Weber. The article then establishes, in a methodical way, the centrality of a passage from Capital, in which three different theories on «oppression» appear. It?s explained that two of them are rather a philosophical antinomy. The other, relative to the heteronomy of social time, can be completed by defining the heteronomy of social space, which gives it analytical virtuality. Some examples are given.

The purpose of this article is to focus on the motif of the countryside in Roman satire. In particular, it aspires to study the way the Sabine farm is delineated in Horace's Satire 2.6 and later in his Epistles, in order to elucidate the evolution of this motif in Persius? 6th Satire. In this poem, Persius addresses Caesius Bassus, who retreats to Sabine to seek poetic inspiration, but seems trapped in the paths of earlier poetry and cannot attain bliss, while the poet achieves it in the port of Luna.
