Spectral Evolution of the X-Ray Remnant of SN 1987A: A High-Resolution $Chandra$ HETG Study

Based on observations with the $Chandra$ X-ray Observatory, we present the latest spectral evolution of the X-ray remnant of SN 1987A (SNR 1987A). We present a high-resolution spectroscopic analysis using our new deep ($\sim$312 ks) $Chandra$ HETG observation taken in March 2018, as well as archival $Chandra$ gratings spectroscopic data taken in 2004, 2007, and 2011 with similarly deep exposures ($\sim$170 - 350 ks). We perform detailed spectral model fits to quantify changing plasma conditions over the last 14 years. CCD uvby-beta photometry of young open clusters. I. The double cluster h and chi Persei

We present CCD uvby-beta photometry for stars in the nuclei of the young double cluster h and chi Persei. We find that the reddening is highly variable through the h Persei nucleus, increasing from west to east, with values ranging from E(b-y)=0.328+-0.022 in the western part to E(b-y)=0.465+-0.025 in the south-east. Towards chi Persei the reddening is fairly constant, with E(b-y)=0.398+-0.025. Both clusters share a common distance modulus of 11.7+-0.1 mag., and an age of log t=7.10+-0.05 years.

Standalone photovoltaic system (SPVS) is usually embedded with an energy storage unit to overcome the intermittency of photovoltaic (PV) generation as well as to address load variations in off-grid operation. International audience; This study opposes, on the one hand, the concept exposed by linguist and theoretician Charles Nodier (1780-1844) in his Elementary Notions in Linguistics (1834) referring to the inalterable spelling of proper nouns, and, on the other hand, his practice as a storyteller and creator in his Trilby (1822). Label-free profiling of skeletal muscle using high-definition mass spectrometry

We report automated and time efficient (2 h per sample) profiling of muscle using ultra-performance liquid chromatography (LC) coupled directly with high-definition mass spectrometry (HDMSE). Soluble proteins extracted from rat gastrocnemius (n=10) were digested with trypsin and analysed in duplicate using a 90 min RPLC gradient. Protein identification and label-free quantitation were performed from HDMSE spectra analysed using TransOmics Informatics for Proteomics software. In total 1,514 proteins were identified.
