Väliin lankeaa varjo : angloamerikkalaisen kaunokirjallisuuden välittyminen Suomeen 1890-1939

Viime vuosikymmeniä pidetään angloamerikkalaisen kulttuurin valtakautena Suomessakin, mutta ennen toista maailmansotaa se oli suomalaisille nykynäkökulmasta katsoen yllättävänkin kaukainen ja vähän tunnettu kulttuuri. Tässä tutkimuksessa selvitetään välittäjien - erityisesti kustantajien, julkisen kritiikin ja tutkimuksen - vaikutusta siihen, millaiseksi angloamerikkalaisen kaunokirjallisuuden profiili Suomessa muodostui vuosina 1890-1939. Tutkimuksessa tarkastellaan, millainen kirjallisuus välittyi parhaiten suomalaisille lukijoille ja millainen taas jäi "varjoon". Properties of zeros of solutions to third order nonlinear differential equations

We investigate the behavior of zeros of solutions to the certain type of third order nonlinear differential equations. We show that the behavior of zeros may be rather different and depend on the nature of nonlinearity in the equation. Main results in the paper are illustrated with a number of examples.
