Review: monoclinic zirconia, its surface sites and their interaction with carbon monoxide

This review concerns monoclinic zirconia, its surface sites and their probing with carbon monoxide. The surface sites and their modifications using thermal treatments with vacuum or reactive gases are also included. In this work, we present information on the nature and manipulation of hydroxyl species and their quantities on the surface, the different types of cationic sites where CO is adsorbed linearly and their energetics, as well as the surface sites and dynamics of formate formation. We also compare the surface concentrations of the different surface species to better understand the extent and nature of the interactions. Il saggio presenta alcune considerazioni conclusive sulla sezione monografica dedicata a Istituzioni, relazioni e culture politiche nelle città tra stato della Chiesa e regno di Napoli (1350-1500 ca.). I tre autori, adottando un approccio comparativo, riflettono sulla definizione degli spazi nelle due aree confinanti, sulla condizione delle città pontificie e sulle culture politiche e le specificità dei centri urbani considerati nella raccolta.

Settlement Dynamics on the Banks of the Upper Tigris, Iraq: The Mosul Dam Reservoir Survey (1980)

The paper describes a dataset of archaeological sites and villages now partially covered by the water of the Mosul Dam Reservoir. For the first time the dataset offers digitized information on c.150 archaeological sites detected during a survey carried out by the Iraqi State Organization for Antiquities and Heritage in the 1980s. Knowledge of the map of these sites will have a substantial impact on interpretation of Tigridian settlement dynamics.   Funding statement: This research has received no specific grant from any funding agency in the public, commercial, or not-for-profit sectors.

L’article analitza diverses estratègies utilitzades per dues poetes catalanes, Maria-Mercè Marçal i Dolors Miquel, per desconstruir els discursos mitjançant els quals s’han construït els rols de gènere. Assenyalarem algunes coincidències entre les dues poetes com el fet que ambdues reformulin els estereotips femenins, que presentin un jo líric fragmentat i canviant, i que dialoguin amb les sagrades escriptures, reescrivint el parenostre i feminitzant Déu. Tant Maria-Mercè Marçal com Dolors Miquel aborden a través del discurs poètic alguns dels anhels, propostes i debats dels moviments feministes contemporanis.
