Charles Reznikoff, une poétique du témoignage
2011
Evaluating the Effects of the Rill Longitudinal Profile on Flow Resistance Law
2022
In this paper, for the first time, the effect of the longitudinal profile shape of the rill (uniform, concave, and convex) on flow resistance law was studied. The first part of the paper is based on a theoretical equation to estimate the Darcy–Weisbach friction factor f, deduced from the power velocity distribution and rill measurements performed on a plot. At first, the equation to estimate the Γ parameter of the velocity profile was calibrated using all available measurements. Then an analysis of the hydraulic characteristics at reach scale, for comparable values of discharge, was carried out, comparing the different profile shapes. To assess the influence of the rill profile …
La tavolozza di Don Chisciotte: il carteggio Sciascia-Guccione
2023
Trought the unpublished correspondence between Leonardo Sciascia and Piero Guccione (1975-1989), is possible to analyse the intrinsec relationship between aesthetics and ethics, artistic vein and civil engagement, but also to retrace Sciascia’s controversies in the 1970s, thus illustrating the antagonistic and conflictual relationship between intellectuals and power.
Investigating the Performance of Enhanced Permeable Groins in Series
2020
The enhanced permeable groin is a novel eco-friendly and cost-effective technique for bank protection and restoration of meander bends. The behavior of bed deformations due to the distance between the structures has to be studied to design enhanced permeable groins in series properly. In this study, scour morphologies around enhanced permeable groins in series, characterized by four different distances and located in a 180°
Comparative Cytocompatibility and Mineralization Potential of Bio-C Sealer and TotalFill BC Sealer
2019
The aim of this study was to investigate the cytocompatibility and mineralization potential of two premixed hydraulic endodontic sealers compared with an epoxy resin-based root canal sealer. The cellular responses and mineralization capacity were studied in human periodontal ligament stem cells (hPDLSCs) that were exposed to premixed hydraulic sealers, Bio-C Sealer (Angelus, Londrí
Fault-Tolerant Application-Specific Topology-Based NoC and Its Prototype on an FPGA
2021
Application-Specific Networks-on-Chips (ASNoCs) are suitable communication platforms for meeting current application requirements. Interconnection links are the primary components involved in communication between the cores of an ASNoC design. The integration density in ASNoC increases with continuous scaling down of the transistor size. Excessive integration density in ASNoC can result in the formation of thermal hotspots, which can cause a system to fail permanently. As a result, fault-tolerant techniques are required to address the permanent faults in interconnection links of an ASNoC design. By taking into account link faults in the topology, this paper introduces a fault-tolerant appli…
Flexible Spare Core Placement in Torus Topology based NoCs and its validation on an FPGA
2021
In the nano-scale era, Network-on-Chip (NoC) interconnection paradigm has gained importance to abide by the communication challenges in Chip Multi-Processors (CMPs). With increased integration density on CMPs, NoC components namely cores, routers, and links are susceptible to failures. Therefore, to improve system reliability, there is a need for efficient fault-tolerant techniques that mitigate permanent faults in NoC based CMPs. There exists several fault-tolerant techniques that address the permanent faults in application cores while placing the spare cores onto NoC topologies. However, these techniques are limited to Mesh topology based NoCs. There are few approaches that have realized …
