Sintesi sugli aspetti musicali della lirica dei trovatori che riguardano più da vicino il testo poetico. Dopo un paragrafo introduttivo sulla scissione disciplinare tra filologia e musicologia e le conseguenze che ne derivano sul piano ermeneutico (§ 1), viene presentata la tradizione scritta delle melodie trobadoriche: canzonieri e tracce musicali, tradizione indiretta e latente (§ 2). Si discutono quindi la concezione del sonum presso i trovatori e la questione della paternità musicale, la funzione della struttura musicale della strofa di canzone (cantus divisio) e le sue ricadute sull’interpretazione metrica e testuale (§ 3). L'argomento di questa monografia è un confronto tra i costrutti predicativi di tipo frasale nelle diverse varietà romanze. Mentre le pseudorelative sono diffuse pressoché in tutta la Romània, con qualche variazione parametrica minore, i gerundi predicativi e gli infiniti preposizionali sono usati solo in alcune varietà. Negli studi linguistici sull'argomento è mancata finora l'ottica comparativa, sia tra varietà diverse, sia tra costrutti predicativi diversi. The analysis is mainly concerned with the condition of infants, in particular the problem of neonatal deformity in ancient Rome. The incidence of deformed births must have been considerable, if tradition records specific provisions on the exposure of deformed infants as far back as royal times. From the narratives of the historians, it can be deduced that deformity greatly impressed the ancient Romans, who were very superstitious in this regard, as can be seen from the very terminology used (monstrum, portentum, ostentum, prodigium etc.).
