Implementation of an occupational stress Control Model

Occupational stress is an enemy of society, a problem that requires a deep research to control stress more effectively. The case study presented in this article consists of a model control regarding occupational stress. The experimental part of this study involved interviews with 15 employees, 9 females and 6 males aged between 25-55 years. Participants described stressful situations at work. Time allocated for each subject was 45 minutes per interviews. The model was implemented based on the job content stressors, effects of stress (physiological, psychological, behavioural) and interviews results. Soil genetic erosion: New conceptual developments in soil security

In the last decades, in some Mediterranean areas, pedodiversity decreased mainly due to pedotechnique application in large-scale farming that transformed original soils into Anthrosols. Supporting the consideration that soils can be considered as living systems, the original concept of 'soil genetic erosion' is re-proposed. Adaptive Feedforward Control of a Pressure Compensated Differential Cylinder

This paper presents the design, simulation and experimental verification of adaptive feedforward motion control for a hydraulic differential cylinder. The proposed solution is implemented on a hydraulic loader crane. Based on common adaptation methods, a typical electro-hydraulic motion control system has been extended with a novel adaptive feedforward controller that has two separate feedforward states, i.e, one for each direction of motion. The extreme learning machine (ELM) and the minimal learning machine (MLM) are nonlinear and scalable machine learning techniques with a randomly generated basis. Both techniques start with a step in which a matrix of weights for the linear combination of the basis is recovered. In the MLM, the feature mapping in this step corresponds to distance calculations between the training data and a set of reference points, whereas in the ELM, a transformation using a radial or sigmoidal activation function is commonly used.
