Specifically, we study the factors enabling and constraining creativity and innovation in journalistic work in technology-mediated settings and explore how technology shapes these phenomena in dispersed journalistic teams. Sourcing on the internet: Examining the relations among different phases of online inquiry

This study examined students’ engagement in sourcing throughout online inquiry, that is, when they specified the information need, formulated search queries, evaluated online texts, and composed a written product. Participants were 167 upper secondary school students. Students completed an online inquiry task in a restricted online environment that utilized authentic online texts. Students’ prior topic knowledge and reading fluency was measured and controlled for in the analysis. The results showed that students engaged in sourcing even in the earliest phases of online inquiry. New national and regional Annex I Habitat records: from #60 to #82

New Italian data on the distribution of the Annex I Habitats are reported in this contribution. Specifically, 8 new occurrences in Natura 2000 sites are presented and 49 new cells are added in the EEA 10 km × 10 km reference grid. The new data refer to the Italian administrative regions of Campania, Calabria, Marche, Piedmont, Sardinia, Sicily, Tuscany and Umbria. Relevés and figures are provided as Supplementary material respectively 1 and 2.

Mapping an electron wave function by a local electron scattering probe

A technique is developed which allows for the detailed mapping of the electronic wave function in two-dimensional electron gases with low-temperature mobilities up to $15\times {10}^{6}\;{\mathrm{cm}}^{2}\;{{\rm{V}}}^{-1}\;{{\rm{s}}}^{-1}$. Thin ('delta') layers of aluminium are placed into the regions where the electrons reside. This causes electron scattering which depends very locally on the amplitude of the electron wave function at the position of the Al δ-layer. By changing the distance of this layer from the interface we map the shape of the wave function perpendicular to the interface. Tutkielman kirjallisessa osiossa käsitellään steroidirungon eri synteesimenetelmiä. Synteesimenetelmät esitellään niiden synteesistrategioiden mukaan, jotka on edelleen jaoteltu niissä esiintyvien reaktioiden tai yleisten lähtöaineiden pohjalta. Johdannossa käydään lyhyesti läpi steroidien rakenne ja niiden biosynteesi ihmisen elimistössä. Tämän jälkeen aloitetaan synteesien tarkastelu sekosteroidi välivaiheisiin pohjautuvista eli steroidirungon keskiosan rakentamiseen keskittyvistä synteesistrategioista, joista siirrytään steroidirungon renkaat järjestyksessä rakentaviin synteeseihin.
