Research-based descriptions of the contents of the habilitation nursing of children with developmental disabilities are lacking. The objective of this qualitative study was to describe the habilitation nursing of children with developmental disabilities in a Finnish children’s neurological ward. In addition, the purpose was to outline the principles that directed the nursing functions (which consisted of various nursing interventions). Tässä laadullisessa tapaustutkimuksessa tutkittiin 2008 kevään aikana suomalaisen Jyväskylän Normaalikoulun lukion ja saksalaisen Görres-Gymnasiumin (Koblenz) toteuttamaa kansainvälistä yhteistyöprojektia. Tavoitteena oli selvittää, kuinka osallistujien transkulturaalinen identiteetti kehittyy sekä toteutuuko monikielisyys tässä kansainvälisessä projektissa. Euroopan unionin verkko- ja tietoturvadirektiivi, eli NIS-direktiivi, annettiin heinäkuussa 2016 ja sitä on sovellettava jäsenvaltioissa viimeistään 10. toukokuuta 2018. Direktiivin tavoitteena on parantaa jäsenmaiden tietoturvaa ja sitä kautta sisämarkkinoiden toimintaedellytyksiä. Purpose The purpose of this paper is to analyse the effectiveness of a quality improvement method in driving innovation in the public sector. The study expands on the concept of innovation and analyses the types and usefulness of the innovations observed. Design/methodology/approach The study utilizes an action research approach. This article considers the meaning of the participants’ home as an interview context when studying sensitive family issues. The article is based on two qualitative family studies by the authors on foster children’s perspectives on their home and their family relations and client families’ experiences of preventive family support. Both studies address sensitive family issues, in particular Finnish child welfare. I was continued a study about contemporary territories and villages, started at University of Palermo and regarding western Sicilian areas. I found Jörg Schröder’s researches (LUH - Chair for Regional Building and Urban Planning) a lush field to compare cases and methods. In that period Prof. Schröder with his team were studying Hamburg Metropolitan Region (Regiobranding - Branding of rural-urban regions through cultural landscape characteristics).
