Tutkimuksessa tarkasteltiin mitkä tekijät auttavat terveydenhuollon työntekijöitä puuttumaan lähisuhdeväkivaltaan. Kiinnostus kohdistui erityisesti siihen, minkä varassa työntekijät rakentavat puuttumista mahdollistavaa puhetta. Analyysissa lähtökohtana oli sosiaalisesti jaettu tieto, eli se, kuinka ihmiset yhdessä tulkitsevat ja rakentavat sosiaalisia ilmiöitä ja niiden merkityksiä. The hepatic drug-metabolizing cytochrome P-450 (CYP) enzymes are down-regulated during inflammation. In vitro studies with hepatocytes have shown that the cytokines released during inflammatory responses are largely responsible for this CYP repression. However, the signaling pathways and the cytokine-activated factors involved remain to be properly identified. Our research has focused on the negative regulation of CYP3A4 (the major drug-metabolizing human CYP) by interleukin 6 (IL-6) (the principal regulator of the hepatic acute-phase response). Optimization of the preprocessing steps of MEG measurement data in Meggie application

Tutkielma optimoi MEG (magnetoenkefalografia) mittausaineiston esikäsittelyyn, analysointiin ja visualisointiin kehitetyn Meggie-käyttöliittymän esikäsittelyvaiheita pääasiassa lisäämällä mahdollisuuden rinnakkaislaskentaan. Optimointi toimi tutkielman käytännön osuutena ja sen tukena oli kattava lista vaatimuksia. Optimoinnissa suurin osa työstä meni vanhan koodin refaktorointiin, mutta myös käyttöliittymäkomponentteihin tuli pieniä muutoksia ja itse ohjelmaan muutama uusi toiminnallisuus. Kuuloaivokuoren ärsykkeisiin liittyvien neuraalisten oskillaatioiden kehitystä ihmisellä ei vielä täysin tunneta. Objective To investigate long-term health-related quality of life (HRQoL) changes over time in younger compared to older disease-free breast cancer survivors who participated in a prospective randomized exercise trial. Methods Survivors (aged 35–68 years) were randomized to a 12-month exercise trial after adjuvant treatment and followed up for ten years. HRQoL was assessed with the generic 15D instrument during follow-up and the younger (baseline age ≤ 50) and older (age >50) survivors’ HRQoL was compared to that of the age-matched general female population (n = 892). Players can experience a sense of belonging to videogames and the transmedial worlds surrounding them. There nevertheless exist ongoing negotiations over who has the right to belong to these spaces. Multiple works addressing related issues have highlighted that white heterosexual men still maintain the position of power in the majority of game communities (e.g., Consalvo, 2012; Paul, 2018).
