Tarkastelen työssä konformikuvauksia, sekä niihin liittyviä tärkeitä tuloksia. Esitän Riemannin kuvauslauseen todistuksen sekä todistan Schwarzin ja Christoffelin kaavan, joka karakterisoi konformikuvaukset puolitasolta monikulmiolle. Lisäksi tarkastelen työssä konformikuvausten soveltamista muutamiin fysiikan ongelmiin virtausmekaniikan, termodynamiikan ja sähköstatiikan aloilla. Greece belongs to the most geodynamically active regions of the world and as such, it has to be considered an area of intense geogenic degassing. In terms of carbon, the territory is characterized by the high hydrothermal and volcanic activity of the South Aegean Active Volcanic Arc (SAAVA), and by widespread geological seeps of buried carbon dioxide and methane. In the present work, we investigate the island of Gyali located in the volcanic system Kos-Gyali-Nisyros. Children’s beliefs concerning their school performance at the end of the first grade in Finland

This study examines primary-school children’s beliefs about their school performance at the end of their first school year in Finland and feedback that they have received, and furthermore possible gender differences between these beliefs. Children from Grade 1 (N = 544), approximately 7 years old, were interviewed. The data were assessed using problem-driven content analyzis and inductive reasoning. The analyzis revealed ten categories of children’s beliefs regarding their school success and failure. This article focuses on ethical considerations in the study of challenging family relations. Our perspective derives from multidisciplinary family studies, including social sciences, psychology and educational sciences. Our concerns include why and how to apply a sensitive approach in studying challenging family relations, and what the key ethical issues are in studies of this kind. We examine questions of multiplicity in family relations, the particularity of vulnerable family relations and the roles of researchers and gatekeepers in the research process. Tässä luvussa tarkastelemme kotona asuvien vanhojen ihmisten, kotihoidon asiakkaiden, kokemuksia kotiin tuodusta hoivateknologiasta. Kysymme, mitä tapahtuu vanhan ihmisen hoivalle ja haavoittuvuudelle, kun teknologia tulee kotiin osana kotihoidon työntekijöiden hoivatyötä. Suomen Akatemian hankerahoitus (TRANAPLAN, 333366) Ekologista kompensaatiota on ehdotettu keinoksi, jonka avulla myös Suomessa voitaisiin ratkoa maankäytön muutoksista aiheutuvan luontokadon ongelmaa. Esimerkiksi tonttituotantokohteiden tai rakennettavan liikenneväylän heikentämät luontoarvot tulisi hyvittää jossain toisaalla, jotta elinympäristöt ja luonnon monimuotoisuus eivät vähenisi hankkeen vaikutuksesta. Ekologisen kompensaation idea ei ole ongelmaton: sen voi perustellusti pelätä edistävän ympäristölle haitallisten hankkeiden toteuttamista.
