Metabolic health, menopause, and physical activity : a 4-year follow-up study

Background In women, metabolic health deteriorates after menopause, and the role of physical activity (PA) in mitigating the change is not completely understood. This study investigates the changes in indicators of metabolic health around menopause and evaluates whether PA modulates these changes. Resumen tomado de la publicación Desarrollo y validación de la Escala de Valoración del Conflicto (WCAS). Antecedentes: en el contexto de la valoración cognitiva se ha desarrollado la escala de Evaluación del Conflicto en el Trabajo (WCAS) que permite evaluar el conflicto en términos de desafío y amenaza. Método: el Estudio 1 contó con 296 trabajadores con los que se puso a prueba la estructura factorial de la escala usando análisis factorial confirmatorio. Cumulative inertia or cumulative stress? Migration behaviour of Finnish graduates

An interesting yet largely unstudied question regarding labour migration behaviour and residence duration is whether migration becomes more or less likely over time. This paper analyses the determinants of residence duration for Finnish graduates. Our results affirm the importance of cumulative inertia as a determinant of migration. The longer a person stays in a region, the smaller are the hazard rates of migration. However, for those graduates who moved to a new region during their year of graduation, the propensity for repeat migration is particularly high during their first three years of residence.

Varhaiskasvatus, kuten kasvatustyö ja työelämä laajemminkin, on murroksessa. Varhaiskasvatuksen piirissä työn haasteisiin pyritään vastaamaan lisäämällä korkeakoulutettujen työntekijöiden määrää lapsiryhmissä sekä selkiyttämällä eri ammattiryhmien asiantuntijuutta. Laadullisen toimintatutkimuksemme tehtävänä oli selvittää varhaiskasvatuksen henkilöstön asiantuntijuuden muutokselle tuottamia merkityksiä sekä tunnistaa eri ammattiryhmien asiantuntijuutta uutta henkilöstörakennetta pilotoivissa tiimeissä.
