We propose in this research a new solution regarding the existence and the content of the initial spacetime singularity. In the context of topological field theory we consider that the initial singularity of space-time corresponds to a zero size singular gravitational instanton characterized by a Riemannian metric configuration (++++) in dimension D = 4. Laser fluence, repetition rate and pulse duration effects on paint ablation

Abstract The efficiency (mm3/(J pulse)) of laser ablation of paint was investigated with nanosecond pulsed Nd:YAG lasers (λ = 532 nm) as a function of the following laser beam parameters: pulse repetition rate (1–10,000 Hz), laser fluence (0.1–5 J/cm2) and pulse duration (5 ns and 100 ns). In our study, the best ablation efficiency (η ≅ 0.3 mm3/J) was obtained with the highest repetition rate (10 kHz) at the fluence F = 1.5 J/cm2. This ablation efficiency can be associated with heat accumulation at high repetition rate, which leads to the ablation threshold decrease. Vispārējās anestēzijas ietekme uz acs akomodācijas funkcijām

First and second order rational solutions to the Johnson equation and rogue waves

Rational solutions to the Johnson equation are constructed as a quotient of two polynomials in x, y and t depending on several real parameters. We obtain an infinite hierarchy of rational solutions written in terms of polynomials of degrees 2N (N + 1) in x, and t, 4N (N + 1) in y, depending on 2N − 2 real parameters for each positive integer N. We construct explicit expressions of the solutions in the cases N = 1 and N = 2 which are given in the following. We study the evolution of the solutions by constructing the patterns of their modulus in the (x, y) plane, and this for different values of parameters.

Acs zīlītes atbildes reakcijas izmaiņa dienas garumā uz impulsa stimulu

Bakalaura darbs ir uzrakstīts latviešu valodā uz 30 lappusēm un satur 5 attēlus, 7 grafikus, 1 vienādojumu, 1 pielikumu un 17 atsauces uz literatūras avotiem. Darba mērķis: Salīdzināt impulsa stimulu izraisītās acs zīlītes atbildes reakcijas izmaiņas dienas garumā. Metodika: Pētījumā piedalījās 8 dalībnieki vecumā no 15 līdz 23 gadiem. Eksperiments risinājās darba dienas garumā no 9 rītā līdz 16 pēcpusdienā. Dalībniekiem tika mērīta un analizēta acs zīlītes atbildes reakcijas izmaiņas ik stundu izmantojot sarkanas un zilas gaismas impulsa stimulus.
