Bakalaura darba mērķis ir pierādīt, ka atšķirības Artūra Kolmena Danto un Hansa Georga Gadamera mākslas teorijās izriet no atšķirīga interpretācijas jēdziena traktējuma. Pirmajās divās nodaļās uzrādīšu to, kā interpretācija saistās ar mākslu katras teorijas ietvaros, bet trešajā nodaļā no interpretācijas jēdziena skatupunkta salīdzināšu līdzīgos un atšķirīgos aspektus abās pieejās. Behavioural and pharmacological characterization of a novel cannabimimetic adamantane-derived indole, APICA, in C57BL/6J mice

The novel adamantane derivative APICA (N-(adamtan-1-yl)-1-pentyl-1H-indole-3-carboxamide) was recently identified as a cannabimimetic indole of abuse (1, 2). Despite its novel structure, APICA recalls cannabimimetic indoles, such as representative member JWH-018. The emerging abuse problem, together with the paucity of information about the bioactivity of APICA (3) emphasize the need for further evaluation of the in vivo pharmacology of this novel indole-derived compound. On the representations in GF(3)^4 of the Hadamard design H_11

In this paper we study the representations of the 2-(11,5,2) Hadamard design H_11 = (P,B) as a set of eleven points in the 4-dimensional vector space GF(3)^4, under the conditions that the five points in each block sum up to zero, and dim ‹P› = 4. We show that, up to linear automorphism, there exist precisely two distinct, linearly nonisomorphic representations, and, in either case, we characterize the family S of all the 5-subsets of P whose elements sum up to zero. In both cases, S properly contains the family of blocks B, thereby showing that a previous result on the representations of H_11 in GF(3)^5 cannot be improved.
Effect of vildagliptin compared to glimepiride on postprandial proinsulin processing in the β cell of patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

This study compared the effect of Glimepiride versus Vildagliptin on β-cell function and the release of intact proinsulin (PI) in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Patients on metformin monotherapy were randomized to add on treatment with Vildagliptin or Glimepiride. A standardized test meal was given at baseline, after 12 and 24 weeks of treatment. Insulin, PI and blood glucose values were measured in the fasting state and postprandial for 300 min. Fasting PI levels significantly decreased in the Vildagliptin group.
