Use of an enzyme-assisted method to improve protein extraction from olive leaves.

The improvement of protein extraction from olive leaves using an enzyme-assisted protocol has been investigated. Using a cellulase enzyme (Celluclast® 1.5L), different parameters that affect the extraction process, such as the influence and amount of organic solvent, enzyme amount, pH and extraction temperature and time, were optimised. The influence of these factors was examined using the standard Bradford assay and the extracted proteins were characterised by sodium dodecyl sulphate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE). This dichotomous behaviour represents the critical ‘intention–behaviour gap’, which marketers must seek to reduce to increase sales of their products. Darbs tiek veltīts kointegrācijai un kļūdas korekcijas modelim. Darbā dots ieskats par vienības saknes testiem, vektoru autoregresijas vienādojumiem, kointegrāciju, kļūdu korekciju modeļiem. Metodes tika pielietotas pētot sakarības starp tādiem valūtu pāriem kā zelts pret ASV dolāru (XAU/USD) un Šveices franks pret ASV dolāru (CHF/USD). Ar Engla-Greinžera un Johansena metodēm parādīts, ka periodā no 2011. gada maija līdz 2016. gada decembrim pastāv kointegrācija starp iepriekš minētajiem instrumentiem.

Nanoscale chemistry and atomic-scale microstructure of a bulk Ni3Sn material built using selective laser melting of elemental powder blends

Abstract Cubic specimens of the intermetallic Ni3Sn compound were built using selective laser melting of elemental powder blends. A specimen built at a laser power of 200 W and a scanning speed of 0.5 m/s was determined to have a homogeneous distribution of Ni and Sn on a mesoscopic scale in spite of a 2 at.% Sn deficiency. Characterization of the microstructure using the HAADF-STEM technique reveals a dispersion of ultrafine Ni particles, nanoscale chemical inhomogeneity and the formation of antiphase nanodomains in the matrix of equiaxed Ni3Sn grains. Natural food products are becoming increasingly popular worldwide due to their health and environmental benefits. However, these products' increasing anecdotal popularity has not translated into their widespread adoption; in fact, demand for natural food products remains confined to a relatively small segment of consumers.
