Tutkimukseni tarkoituksena oli selvittää, kuinka joulua ja jouluperinteitä kuvataan Astrid Lindgrenin lastenkirjoissa ja tutkia minkälaisia yhtäläisyyksiä ja eroavuuksia löytyy kirjojen kuvauksen ja todellisen ruotsalaisen joulunvieton välillä. Näin ollen tutkielmassani verrattiin joulukuvausta sekä Lindgrenin lastenkirjojen välillä että Lindgrenin lastenkirjojen ja todelliseen ruotsalaiseen joulunviettoon pohjautuvien kirjojen välillä. Lindgrenin tuotanto on minulle hyvin tuttua, sillä monien muiden pohjoismaisten lasten tapaan, olen itsekin kasvanut hänen satujaan lukien. The aim of this study was to evaluate the use of Formagraph to determine the milk clotting activity of animal Sicilian rennet pastes. Clotting time (r), curd firming time (k20) and curd firmness (a30) were measured during coagulation tests carried out with pasteurized cows’ milk. The rennet paste samples were collected in 11 dairy factories located throughout western Sicily. The factories produce two different pasta-filata cheese typologies, Caciocavallo Palermitano and PDO Vastedda della valle del Belìce, made with cows raw milk and ewe raw milk, respectively. The paper reconstructs an experience of cooperation between the University of Palermo and the Department of Cultural Heritage, Natural Heritage and Public Education of the Sicilian Regional Government, that took place at the end of 1970s. This experience is still regarded as a model of good practice based on the connection “culture and development” and focused on the recovery of traditional heritage. The author proposes an evaluation on short, medium and long-term effects on the Sicilian territory, dealing with notions such as memory and history, and discussing on the mechanism of objectivation of one’s own culture.

The goal of this study is to provide a model of high-performing small and medium-sized companies to address the new environmental challenges in traditional manufacturing industries. Adopting a configurational logic and following an inductive approach based on four high-performing firms, this paper provides new empirical evidence on how the steps followed by these firms are adjusted to the high-performance models prescribed by the literature.
