Progress Checking for Dummies

Verification of progress properties is both conceptually and technically significantly more difficult than verification of safety and deadlock properties. In this study we focus on the conceptual side. We make a simple modification to a well-known model to demonstrate that it passes progress verification although the resulting model is intuitively badly incorrect. Then we point out that the error can be caught easily by adding a termination branch to the system. We compare the use of termination branches to the established method of addressing the same need, that is, weak fairness. [EN] Royal Decree 463/2020, of March 14, declared the state of alarm as a consequence of COVID-19. From this declaration, a series of royal decree-laws have followed one another that have introduced a series of changes in the financial system to adapt the tax obligations to the health crisis situation. In this sense, the deadlines for filing resource, the forms and deadlines for filing and paying declarations and self-settlement have been modified, as well as certain procedures and acts while this exceptional regime lasts. In this study we are going to analyze the adoption of these measures and their accommodation in Tax Law.

Este trabajo presenta los primeros resultados psicométricos de la adaptación al castellano del Adlerian Personality Priority Assessment, instrumento de 30 ítems que evalúa las cuatro prioridades. The problem of the correct evaluation of Q-factor appearing in Adler's equation for injection-locking is addressed. Investigation has shown that recent results presented in the literature, while extending applicability of the original method, do not completely account for nonlinear effects occurring when two-port active devices are involved. Problēma: Astma ir hroniska elpceļu iekaisuma slimība, kuras terapijā izmantoto zāļu pieejamības problēmas ir daudzfaktoriālas, ietverot ārsta un pacienta savstarpējo komunikāciju, pacienta zināšanas par slimību un zālēm, kā arī zāļu kompensācijas sistēmu valstī. Mērķis: Noskaidrot aktuālākās problēmas medikamentu pieejamībā no pacientu skatu punkta. Metode: Astmas ārstēšanas vadlīnijām atbilstošas anketas izveide, ar kuras palīdzību īstenota pacientu (n=34) anketēšana, pēc kuras veidotas atbilstošas diagrammas un veikta atbilžu analizēšana. Summer Sahel-ENSO teleconnection and decadal time scale SST variations

The correlation between Sahel rainfall and El Nino–Southern Oscillation (ENSO) in the northern summer has been varying for the last fifty years. We propose that the existence of periods of weak or strong relationship could result from an interaction with the global decadal scale sea surface temperature (SST) background. The main modes of SST variability have been extracted through a principal component analysis with Varimax rotation. The correlations between a July-September Sahel rainfall index and these SST modes have been computed on a 20-year running window between 1945 and 1993. Amazon tropical forests and the semiarid Northeast Brazil (NEB) region have registered very severe droughts during the last two decades, with a frequency that may have exceeded natural climate variability. Severe droughts impact the physiological response of Amazon forests, decreasing the availability to absorb atmospheric CO2, as well as biodiversity and increasing risk of fires. Droughts on this region also affect population by isolating them due to anomalous low river levels. Impacts of droughts over NEB region are related to water and energy security and subsistence agriculture.
