Runas ātrums audiovizuālajos materiālos un tā ietekme uz audiovizuālās tulkošanas stratēģijām

Šajā maģistra darbā tiek analizēta runas ātruma ietekme uz tulkošanas stratēģiju izvēli audiovizuālā satura tulkošanā aizkadra ierunāšanai un subtitrēšanai. Autors ir konstatējis, ka mutiskā avotteksta pasniegšanas ātrumam pārsvarā ir kondensējoša ietekme uz tulkošanu, it īpaši subtitrēšanu, bet tas ir atkarīgs no tulkotāju individuālas pieejas. No otras puses, aizkadra ierunāšanā, ko neietekmē tehniskie subtitrēšanas ierobežojumi, brīvāka pieeja tulkošanas stratēģiju izvēlē var novest līdz avotteksta un tulkotā teksta desinhronizācijai audiovizuālajā materiālā.
Two-particle transverse momentum correlations in pp and p-Pb collisions at energies available at the CERN Large Hadron Collider

Two-particle transverse momentum differential correlators, recently measured in Pb--Pb collisions at energies available at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC), provide an additional tool to gain insights into particle production mechanisms and infer transport properties, such as the ratio of shear viscosity to entropy density, of the medium created in Pb-Pb collisions. The longitudinal long-range correlations and the large azimuthal anisotropy measured at low transverse momenta in small collision systems, namely pp and p-Pb, at LHC energies resemble manifestations of collective behaviour. Search for photons with energies above 1018 eV using the hybrid detector of the Pierre Auger Observatory

A search for ultra-high energy photons with energies above 1 EeV is performed using nine years of data collected by the Pierre Auger Observatory in hybrid operation mode. An unprecedented separation power between photon and hadron primaries is achieved by combining measurements of the longitudinal air-shower development with the particle content at ground measured by the fluorescence and surface detectors, respectively. Only three photon candidates at energies 1-2 EeV are found, which is compatible with the expected hadron-induced background. Upper limits on the integral flux of ultra-high energy photons of 0.027, 0.009, 0.008, 0.008 and 0.007 km-2 sr-1 yr-1 are derived at 95% C.L. for ener…

Relationship between family educational styles and social value of education: reflections of a study

The goal of this study is to analyze the relationship between the social value that the families give to education of their sons and daughters, and the family educational styles. For this, we apply 4103 questionnaires of evaluation of Family Educational Styles (EEF) of Bisquert (2017). We used 5 context variables of the same questionnaire because of their conceptual relationship with the evaluation dimensions of Subjective Social Value of Education (VSESubjective) of Jornet, Perales and Sánchez Delgado (2011). Difūzijas koeficienta noteikšana no Brauna kustības teorētiskiem aprēķiniem

Literatūrā atrodamas vairākas difūzijas koeficienta no Brauna kustības rēķināšanas metodes. Šajā darbā tiek apskatītas un ar skaitliskām simulācijām pārbaudītas pārklājošos, nepārklājošos un nekorelēto pārvietojumu metodes kā arī vairākas lineārās regresijas metodes, gan ar trajektorijas mērījumu kļūdu, gan bez. Tika atrasts, ka pārklājošos intervālu metode no apskatītajām sniedz vismazāko rezultāta kļūdu. Papildus tam tiek atrasta sakarība, kas saista izmērītās trajektorijas punktu skaitu ar iegūtā difūzijas koeficienta kļūdu un mērījuma kļūdu.
