Abstract Triterpenoid saponins, which are present in plants and some marine animals, exert various important pharmacological effects. The present study examines the effects of adianthifoliosides A, B, and D (AdA, AdB, and AdD) together with two prosapogenins (Pro1 and Pro2) obtained from Albizia adianthifolia (Mimosaceae) on human leukemia T-cells (Jurkat cells) and on splenocytes. AdA, AdB, and AdD were found to exhibit a cytotoxic effect on Jurkat cells, whereas the prosapogenins were found to exert a lymphoproliferative effect on this cell type. The anti-inflammatory effect of oleuropein (1), the major phenolic secoiridoid in Olea europaea, was evaluated in an experimental model of chronic colitis in mice. Animals were exposed to four repeated cycles of dextran sodium sulfate in drinking water followed by a 7-day rest period. Animals receiving a standard diet supplemented with 0.25% of 1 (equivalent to 500 mg/kg/day) for 56 days exhibited a decrease of inflammatory symptoms, as reflected by improvement of disease activity index and histopathological changes. It was found that 1 decreased inflammatory cell recruitment and the release of inflammatory cytokines interleukin (IL)-1β and IL-6 with increased IL-10 levels in colon tissue. …

A travers une démarche expérimentale de simulation de la circulation routière pour estimer les pollutions atmosphériques en milieu urbain, cette proposition questionne les opportunités qu'offre la simulation multi-agents pour intégrer des données d'observations du trafic routier au sein d'un système d'information géographique. Pour cela, la construction du modèle d'affectation s'est faite en deux étapes : une première, d'acquisition et de structuration des données de comptages et une seconde visant à interfacer ces données au sein d'une plateforme de simulation multi-agents pour en reproduire la variabilité intra journalière et la fréquentation routière.
