Artykuł jest poświęcony Fridzie Kahlo. Meksykańska malarka współcześnie jest znana głównie z przekazów jako żona wielkiego muralisty Diega Rivery, czy też kobieta romansująca z Lwem Trockim. Pomija się jednakże jej świadomą postawę polityczną, która materializowała się w jej twórczości, ale i np. w praktykach edukacyjnych. Za sprawą kategorii polityczności można wyłuszczyć te polityczne elementy. Relacyjne nacechowanie tejże kategorii prowadzi do rozpoznania kluczowego kontekstu, jakim była rewolucja meksykańska, której program zarazem wyjaśnia polityczność sfer współzależnych ze sferą polityki, w tym sztuki i zaangażowania społecznego F. Tutkielman tarkoituksena on selvittää, kuinka Fight Club romaanissa käsitellään transgressiivistä kaunokirjallisuutta. Tutkimuksessa hyödynnetään metodina lähilukutekniikkaa, jossa aineisto analysoidaan keskittyen transgressiivisiin teemoihin sekä narratiivisiin rakenteisiin. Tutkimuskysymyksenä on se, miten transgressiivisuus nousee esille Chuck Palahniukin Fight Club - romaanin kirjoitustyylissä. Analyysini jakautuu kolmeen osaan. Ensimmäisenä tarkastelen transgressiivisuutta Fight Clubin narratiivisissa rakenteissa. Can we automate expert-based journal rankings? Analysis of the Finnish publication indicator

The publication indicator of the Finnish research funding system is based on a manual ranking of scholarly publication channels. These ranks, which represent the evaluated quality of the channels, are continuously kept up to date and thoroughly reevaluated every four years by groups of nominated scholars belonging to different disciplinary panels. This expert-based decision-making process is informed by available citation-based metrics and other relevant metadata characterizing the publication channels. De-naturalizing the “predatory”: A study of “bogus” publications at public sector universities in Pakistan

Predatory publishing has recently emerged as a menace in academia. University professors and researchers often exploit this practice for their economic gains and institutional prestige. The present study investigates such existing predatory publishing practices in Pakistani public sector universities using Bourdieu’s (1991) concept of symbolic violence. For this purpose, we analyzed 495 articles published by 50 university professors in the social sciences and humanities over the period 2017-2021.
