Workaholism and work engagement can be depicted, respectively, as the pathological and the healthy form of heavy work investment. The former has been described as an addiction to work, yielded by the combination of excessive working hours and compulsive working style, whilst the latter has recently been introduced in workplace health literature as a pleasant mental state consisting of vigor, dedication, and absorption. Käytännössä kaikki oppilaat näissä ryhmissä ovat maahanmuuttajataustaisia. Search for Light Dark Matter Interactions Enhanced by the Migdal Effect or Bremsstrahlung in XENON1T.

Direct dark matter detection experiments based on a liquid xenon target are leading the search for dark matter particles with masses above ∼5 GeV/c2, but have limited sensitivity to lighter masses because of the small momentum transfer in dark matter-nucleus elastic scattering. However, there is an irreducible contribution from inelastic processes accompanying the elastic scattering, which leads to the excitation and ionization of the recoiling atom (the Migdal effect) or the emission of a bremsstrahlung photon. This master’s thesis concerns the use of the microscopic quasiparticle-phonon model in the study of the beta minus decay of Cd-115. The first part of this text concentrates on the theoretical description of nearly spherical open-shell odd-A nuclei by using the microscopic quasiparticle-phonon model. The treatment of the subject is far from exhaustive but all the necessary relations needed in the practical application of the formalism are provided in the text. The second part provides the theory that is needed for the study of beta minus decay. Tutkielmassa tarkastellaan massa-alueen A = 100 - 134 ytimien käyttäytymistä beetahajoamisessa käyttäen QRPA-formalismia. Tavoitteena oli tutkia heikon vuorovaikutuksen efektiivisen aksiaalivektorikytkentävakion gA käyttäytymistä massaluvun A funktiona. In this dissertation, I study the observance of holy days among the peasantry in the early modern province of Savo, located on the eastern periphery of the Swedish kingdom (today Eastern Finland). I examine the practices, norms and meanings related to the observance of holy days both within and outside the Church, and analyse the changes and continuities in the post-reformation period. As the main sources of the study, I use district court records and visitation records mainly from the period 1639–1712. Venäjä hyökkäsi Ukrainaan tämän vuoden helmikuun 24. päivä. Tällöin ensimmäisistä maan sisäisesti kodeistaan paenneista ja maan rajojen ulkopuolelle pakoon lähteneistä ihmisistä muodostunut pakkomuuttoliike on kasvanut kaikkineen nyt yli kuuteen miljoonaan Ukrainan rajan ylittäneeseen pakolaiseen (UNHCR, tilanne 23.5.2022). Tämän teemanumeron taustalla on halumme ymmärtää paremmin Ukrainan sodan aiheuttamaa pakolaisuutta sekä toisaalta tarkastella sitä aikaisemman aiheeseen liittyvän tutkimustiedon pohjalta. Tavoitteenamme oli koota yhteen maahanmuuton ja pakolaisuuden tematiikkaan erikoistuneilta tutkijoilta erilaisia näkökulmia liittyen Ukrainan sotaan ja sen synnyttämään pakolaisuuteen. …
