Frailty has been defined as an age-related decrease of the physiologic systems that results in weakness, weight loss and decreased functional performance, thus increasing the risk of disability. The physical characteristics of frailty are affected by the amount of muscle mass and strength. Strength training (ST) can alleviate age-related declines in muscle mass, strength and physical function. However, there is controversy regarding whether dietary intake can improve the effects of ST. Quadrature domains for the Helmholtz equation with applications to non-scattering phenomena

In this paper, we introduce quadrature domains for the Helmholtz equation. We show existence results for such domains and implement the so-called partial balayage procedure. We also give an application to inverse scattering problems, and show that there are non-scattering domains for the Helmholtz equation at any positive frequency that have inward cusps.

Participation in leisure activities is related to better well-being. Participation in leisure time physical activity also has several positive effects on functional capacity and health. Notwithstanding, only a minor proportion of adults, including older adults, participate in physical activity at a sufficient level for maintaining or improving their health.
