Pētījums veltīts salīdzinoši nesen aktualizētam jautājumam, kas saistīts ar poļu laicīgo muižnieku – kultūras darbinieku devumu Latgales novadpētniecībā. Bakalaura darbā, kas balstīts historiogrāfijas analīzē, tiek pētīta Latgalē dzimuša 19. gadsimta pirmās puses pētnieka un literāta, poļu muižnieka Kazimira Buiņicka sabiedriskā un literārā darbība, kas veltīta tagadējās Latgales reģiona izpētei. Darba mērķis ir raksturot Kazimira Buiņicka kā Latgales kultūrvēsturē nozīmīgas personības ieguldījumu reģiona novadpētniecības aizsākšanā un veicināšanā. Ievads. Neskatoties uz to, ka Kazahstānā ir augsta kuņģa vēža incidence, ir ierobežojami dati, kas informētu par H. pylori un kuņģa atrofiskā gastrīta izplatību šajā valstī. Darba mērķis. Noteikt un izanalizēt H. pylori infekcijas un atrofiskā gastrīta izplatību asimptomātiskiem 40 – 64 gadus jauniem Kazahstānas iedzīvotājiem. Materiāli un metodes. Dalībniekiem noteica anti-H. pylori IgG ≥10 U/mL un PGI, PGII ar lateksa-aglutinācijas metodi. Tika analizētas divas PG robežvērtības: PGI ≤ 70 ng/mL un PGI/II ≤ 3 un PGI ≤ 30 ng/mL un PGI/II ≤ 2. Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are contaminants of concern that impact every sphere of the environment. Despite several decades of research, their mechanisms of toxicity are still poorly understood. This study explores the mechanisms of cardiotoxicity of the three widespread model PAHs retene, pyrene and phenanthrene in the rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) early life stages. Newly hatched larvae were exposed to each individual compound at sublethal doses causing no significant increase in the prevalence of deformities. Abstract This study investigates PAHs indoor emissions from burning decorative candle in an indoor environment because emissions from burning wax in home have rarely been addressed. A total of 12 air samples were collected during the entire burning period of the decorative candles. Particulate and gaseous PAHs emissions were simultaneously measured by passing effluent through a filter (to collect particulate-phase PAHs), a cold trap and ORBO 43 tubes (to capture gaseous-phase PAHs). Polychlorinated Biphenyls in Sediments from Sicilian Coastal Area (Scoglitti) using Automated Soxhlet, GC-MS, and Principal Component Analysis

A methodology for the PAHs and PCBs congener determination in sediment samples has been revised. We determined the distributions of PAHs and PCBs in the superficial sediments of the Scoglitti (Italy) coastal area to provide data for comparison with other marine systems and to hypothesize the sources. Extraction yield, for PCB, was never less than 60% in most cases, while for PAHs, utilizing perdeuterated surrogate standard (benz[a]anthracene-d12 and anthracene-d10) was never less than 72%. The primary objective of this study was to examine the chemical speciation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) found in sediments endowed with different characteristics. To achieve this purpose and because the nature of the sediments influences the distribution of PAHs, we have analyzed four different types of sediments. To study the role of organic matter in the sequestration of PAHs, we fractionated humic substances into humic acids and humin–mineral fractions.
