On the tensor degree of finite groups

We study the number of elements $x$ and $y$ of a finite group $G$ such that $x \otimes y= 1_{_{G \otimes G}}$ in the nonabelian tensor square $G \otimes G$ of $G$. This number, divided by $|G|^2$, is called the tensor degree of $G$ and has connection with the exterior degree, introduced few years ago in [P. Niroomand and R. Rezaei, On the exterior degree of finite groups, Comm. Algebra 39 (2011), 335--343]. The analysis of upper and lower bounds of the tensor degree allows us to find interesting structural restrictions for the whole group.

W niniejszej pracy opisano projekt zagospodarowania powierzchni dachów na potrzeby mikroelektrowni fotowoltaicznej. Przeprowadzono analizę realizowanej inwestycji, polegającej na budowie zespołu garaży w miejscowości Brzeg pod kątem możliwości wykorzystania powierzchni dachowych do montażu instalacji PV. Analiza obejmowała zarówno warunki klimatyczne związane z nasłonecznieniem obszaru inwestycji jak i techniczne, związane z dodatkowym obciążeniem dachu oraz możliwością przyłączenia do istniejącej miejskiej sieci elektrycznej. Okadaic Acid, an Apoptogenic Toxin for Symbiotic/Parasitic Annelids in the Demosponge Suberites domuncula

ABSTRACT The role of okadaic acid (OA) in the defense system of the marine demosponge Suberites domuncula against symbiotic/parasitic annelids was examined. Bacteria within the mesohyl produced okadaic acid at concentrations between 32 ng/g and 58 ng/g of tissue (wet weight). By immunocytochemical methods and by use of antibodies against OA, we showed that the toxin was intracellularly stored in vesicles. Western blotting experiments demonstrated that OA also existed bound to a protein with a molecular weight of 35,000 which was tentatively identified as a galectin (by application of antigalectin antibodies). El objetivo de este estudio es describir y analizar las interpretaciones de los términos literales algebraicos que realiza una muestra de 27 alumnos y alumnas entre 15 y 16 años de un instituto de la ciudad de Valencia. Se les administró un test basado en investigaciones del Dr. Küchemann entre finales de los años 70 y principios de los años 80. Se realizó un análisis detallado de las dificultades y errores que presentaron así como de alguno de los ítems que se utilizaron para identificar dichas interpretaciones. Series arc faults in AC and DC electrical circuits. Characterization and detection methods

This paper analyzes the problem of the arc faults in both AC and DC low voltage electrical circuits. The state-of-the-art of the arc fault detection methods is analyzed together with the UL 1699 and UL 1699B Standard requirements for protection devices against arc faults (AFCIs). An experimental characterization is carried out of the arc fault phenomenon, for both AC and DC systems, focusing the attention on series arcs. The experimental measurements are carried out on a proper test bench, which has been developed in order to reproduce significant arcing conditions, in accordance with the UL 1699 Standard requirements.
