Opetus- ja kulttuuriministeriö (2012) on nostanut kansainvälistymisen yhdeksi keskeiseksi kehittämiskohteeksi ammattikorkeakouluissa. Kansainvälistymiselle on annettu myös tietty painoarvo ammattikorkeakoulujen rahoitusmallissa: sekä henkilöstön että opiskelijoiden kansainvälinen liikkuvuus on nostettu mittareiksi, samoin ulkomaalaisten tutkinto-opiskelijoiden osuus (Opetus- ja kulttuuriministeriö 2014). Sulphonamide motif is found extensively in numerous chemotherapeutic drug candidates, it acts by stopping the production of folate inside the bacterial cell. Current research has established the synthesis and characterization of new bioprecursor prodrugs of sulfadiazine. The first prodrug, 3, was synthesized via the coupling of diazonium salt of sulfadiazine with ethyl acetoacetate in AcONa at 0 °C. Tässä laadullisessa tutkimuksessa on kehitetty menetelmä, jonka avulla sokeiden ja vaikeasti heikkonäköisten esiopetusikäisten lasten taitoja ja tuen tarpeita voidaan arvioida ja seurata. Menetelmän avulla voidaan siirtää tietoa lapsen siirtyessä esiopetuksesta kouluun. Menetelmässä huomioidaan sokean ja vaikeasti heikkonäköisen lapsen kehityksen erityispiirteet. Menetelmälle annettiin nimeksi SoLa kohderyhmän, sokeiden ja vaikeasti heikkonäköisten lasten mukaan. Sport provides many youth participants with a central life project, and yet very few eventually fulfill their athletic dreams, which may lead them to disengage from sport entirely. Many studies have explored the processes of athletic retirement, but little is known about how youth athletes actually reconstruct their relationship with sport and embodiment postretirement. The authors explored these issues in the story of “Pilvi,” a Finnish alpine skier who disengaged from sport in her late adolescence. Should I stay or should I go? Physical education teachers' career intentions

Purpose: This study investigated Finnish physical education (PE) teachers’ intentions to leave the profession and the reasons behind them. Method: A large sample (N ¼ 808) of PE teachers who graduated between 1980 and 2008 (432 women, 376 men) answered a modified job satisfaction and teacher follow-up questionnaire that elicited career perceptions, intentions, and current work duties. Results: In this sample, 26% of the respondents were contemplating leaving their jobs as PE teachers and an additional 13% were actually in the process of transferring from PE teaching but planned to remain in school teaching. Ecological factors are known to affect disease dynamics and even lead to disease emergence. Especially in opportunistic, environmentally transmitted pathogens, the environment may significantly contribute to pathogen virulence. Intensive farming, including aquaculture, has been suggested to create conditions favouring development of highly virulent pathogens. At Finnish fish farms, epidemics caused by opportunistic Flavobacterium columnare have been constantly increasing in their prevalence and severity since the 1980’s.
