Purpose The purpose of this study was to analyze changes in the prevalence of weight reduction behaviors (WRBs) among European adolescents from 26 countries between 2001/2002 and 2017/2018. The impact of the perception of body weight on WLB was also analyzed, with particular attention being paid to overestimation. Methods The data of 639,194 European adolescents aged 11, 13, and 15 years who participated in the Health Behaviour in School-aged Children survey were analyzed. Nevertheless, one ethanol oxidation-related rat study with controversial results raised our interest. According to preparatory studies for the regulatory approval of DGA, some highly conserved mechanism seems to subtly activate the cellular energy metabolism. Heme Oxygenase-1 and Blood Bilirubin Are Gradually Activated by Oral D-Glyceric Acid

It has been shown that small doses of oral D-glyceric acid (DGA) activate mitochondrial metabolism and reduce inflammation among 50–60-year-old healthy volunteers. The present results with the same small doses reveal that after a 4-day DGA regimen, a dose of DGA activated the HO-1 pathway acutely, while enhanced inflammatory status after the 4-day DGA regimen seemed to be able to downregulate the HO-1 pathway in non-acute measurement. Blood bilirubin was strongly upregulated towards the end of the altogether 21-day study period with positive associations towards improved inflammation and reduced blood triglycerides. The purpose of this study was to create a substantive theory of non-family mentoring that can be applied to the use of family businesses. The experiences of non-family mentoring were explored by using a Grounded Theory approach and the data was gathered through in-depth interviews from seven next generation members (NGM).In this study, the essence of non-family mentoring is discussed from three perspectives of freedom. The feeling of freedom covers the NGMs’ aspirations that coincide with different phases in their preparation. Enhancing the European Cyber Threat Prevention Mechanism

This research will determine how it is possible to implement the national cyber threat prevention system into the EU level Early Warning System. Decision makers have recognized that the lack of cooperation between EU member countries affects public safety at the international level. Separate operational functions and procedures between national cyber situation centers create challenges. One main problem is that the European Union does not have a common cyber ecosystem concerning intrusion detection systems for cyber threats. Also, privacy and citizens’ security as topics are set against each other. The research will comprise a new database for the ECHO Early Warning System concept.

Tutkimuksessa etsittiin uusia kasvunlähteitä vaihteistojen valmistukseen, uusille energia-aloille ja teollisuusvaihde puolelle. Alojen kaupallinen kiinnostavuus tutkittiin Moventaksen kannalta sekä alustavasti vaihteiden tarve kyseisillä aloilla. Lisäksi tutkittiin mahdollisia tulevaisuuden kasvunaloja vaihdemarkkinoilla. Tavoitteena oli löytää aloja, joilla valmistetaan Jyväskylän tuotantotehtaiden kaltaisia vaihteistoja ja mahdollisesti saada tulevaisuudessa tuotantoon myös sellaisilta aloilta mihin ei ole ennen panostettu. Alkuun aloin tutkimaan aloja yleisellä tasolla ja kyseisistä aloista tehtiin taulukkoon analysointi. Analysoinnin pohjalta valittiin kaksi alaa paremmin selvitettävien…
