Suomen on villinnyt oluthuuma. Kauppojen hyllyt notkuvat monipuolisesta oluttarjonnasta, olutseuratoiminta on aktiivista ja pienpanimoja perustetaan maahamme jatkuvasti lisää. Suomalaiset ovat toden teolla löytäneet oluen monipuolisen maailman ja olutharrastuneisuus on yleistynyt. Etnologiassa alkoholikulttuuria ja moderneja juomatapoja on tutkittu hyvin vähän ja olutta harrastuk-sena ei lainkaan. Lähitieteissä alkoholitutkimusta on ollut enemmän, mutta se on ollut pääosin ongelmakeskeistä. Tutkimukseni kautta haluan tuoda esiin olutta harrastavien ihmisten näkökulmaa alkoholitutkimuksen kentällä ja luoda pohjaa tulevalle etnologiselle olutkulttuuritutkimukselle. This presentation aims at discussing the opportunities and limitations of football players in East Germany, Hungary and Romania in the period between the end of World War II (1945) and the collapse of the Eastern bloc (1989). Football served as an important propaganda tool for the communist regimes in Eastern Europe. Therefore, the political elites supported football players financially with sinecures in the military, police, and in commercial and industrial companies, as well as by releasing them for training and competitions in their associated clubs. 2,5-bis(3′-Indolyl)pyrroles, analogues of the marine alkaloid nortopsentin, were conveniently prepared through a three step procedure in good overall yields. Derivatives 1a and 1b exhibited concentration-dependent antitumor activity towards a panel of 42 human tumor cell lines with mean IC50 values of 1.54 μM and 0.67 μM, respectively. Investigating human tumor xenografts in an ex-vivo clonogenic assay revealed selective antitumor activity, whereas sensitive tumor models were scattered among various tumor histotypes.

The main objectives of this study were: to compare the barriers to active commuting to and from school (ACS) between children and their parents separately for children and adolescents; and to analyze the association between ACS and the children’s and parents’ barriers. A total of 401 child–parent pairs, from Granada, Jaén, Toledo and Valencia, self-reported, separately, their mode of commuting to school and work, respectively, and the children’s barriers to ACS. Finns in the Colonial World

AbstractUtilizing such concepts as “colonial complicity” and “colonialism without colonies”, this chapter examines the case of Finns and Finland as a nation that was once oppressed but also itself complicit in colonialism. This work consists of an overview part and three research papers. The subject of this work is a class of models for dynamical electroweak symmetry breaking, and new generations of fermionic matter. An introductory overview of the standard model of electroweak interactions is given, as well as an overview of some of the recent developments in the field of walking technicolor models.
