International audience; The diastereoselective synthesis of dialkylated ferrocenyl bis(phosphane)s bearing aryl, alkyl, and hetero- or polycyclic substituents on the phosphino groups is reported, together with their characterization in the solid state by X-ray structure analysis and in solution by multinuclear NMR spectroscopy. Introduction of various alkyl groups on the ferrocene backbone, namely, tert-butyl, isopropyl, and trimethylsilyl, has a significant influence on the stereoselectivity of the ensuing lithiation/phosphination reactions. Stereoselective synthesis of 2-substituted dehydropiperidinones and their further transformation to variously disubstituted piperidine derivatives was achieved employing D-arabinopyranosylamine as the stereodifferentiating carbohydrate auxiliary. A domino MannichMichael reaction of 1-methoxy-3-(trimethylsiloxy)butadiene (Danishefsky's diene) with O-pivaloylated arbinosylaldimines furnished N-arabinosyl dehydropiperidinones in high diastereoselectivity. International audience; Treatment of CpMo(η4-diene)Cl2 (diene = 1,3-butadiene, C4H6, 1‘; isoprene, C5H8, 1‘ ‘; 2,3-dimethyl-1,3-butadiene, C6H10, 1‘ ‘) in diethyl ether at low temperature with 2 equiv of alkylmagnesium RMgX reagents affords the corresponding dialkyl complexes CpMo(η4-1,3-diene)R2 (2, 2‘, 2‘ ‘, R = CH3, a; CH2Ph, b; CH2SiMe3, c). These species are isolable in moderate yields and have been fully characterized by EPR, elemental analyses, and cyclic voltammetry. They all show a reversible reduction process at relatively low potentials and an irreversible oxidation. The structure of 2‘ ‘a was confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Cycloaddition reactions of the acyclic silylene Si(SAriPr4)2 (AriPr4 = C6H3-2,6(C6H3-2,6-iPr2)2) with a variety of alkenes and alkynes were investigated. Its reactions with the alkynes phenylacetylene and diphenylacetylene and the diene 2,3-dimethyl-1,3-butadiene yielded silacycles (AriPr4S)2tiebar above startSi(CH═tiebar above endCPh) (1), (AriPr4S)2tiebar above startSi(PhC═tiebar above endCPh) (2), and (AriPr4S)2tiebar above startSiCH2CMeCMetiebar above endCH2 (3) at ambient temperature. However ARs metabolite day and night variations have not been studied in prostate cancer patients yet. We investigated ARs metabolites 3, 5-dihydroxy-benzoic acid (DHBA), and 3-(3, 5-dihydroxyphenyl)-1-propanoic acid (DHPPA) in urine and plasma in prostate cancer patients and in control group. A new alkynylated cluster [Au13 Ag16 (C10 H6 NO)24 ]3- is prepared by a NaBH4 mediated reduction method. The AuAg clusters are confirmed by sophisticated characterization techniques. It has a unique "Aucenter @Ag12 @Au12 Ag4 " metal framework which is protected by 24 atypical alkyne ligands L (L=C10 H6 NO). The ligands construct a unique type of motif L-(Ag)-Au-(Ag)-L at the cluster interface, where the alkyne (C≡C) group of each L was linked by sharing an Au atom through the σ bonds and each C≡C group was discretely connected to a chemically different Ag atom (Agicosahedral /Agcap ) through π bonds. Low-Q peak in X-ray patterns of choline-phenylalanine and homophenylalanine: a combined effect of chain and stacking

Abstract In this contribution we report for the first time the X-ray patterns of choline-phenylalanine and choline-homophenylalanine ionic liquids. The presence of a low Q peak in both systems is another evidence that a long alkyl chain is not always needed to establish a nanodomain segregation in the liquid sufficient to be revealed by the diffraction experiment. These new data are compared with the diffraction patterns and the theoretical calculations of other choline-aminoacid ionic liquids recently reported. A significant role might be played by the stacking interactions between aromatic rings.
